'Orca wars.' It's all the internet can talk about at the moment as killer whales and now apparently sharks have begun randomly attacking boats and humans and no one really knows why. Incidents began increasing in May after whales began smashing into the side of boats off the coast of Portugal and near Gibraltar, with a reported consistency of once a day. It's thought that a white orca named Gladis started the trend which has led to other orcas copying her. However, NBC reports that the rate of interactions between humans and whales has significantly risen since 2020. Andrew Tate made a name for himself through viral podcast appearances and sharing his candid, controversial opinions online. On 29 December, Tate was arrested in Romania alongside his brother Tristan and two Romanian suspects as part of a human trafficking and rape investigation. Tate was reportedly wanted for questioning since April. People have since speculated that it was his cringe-worthy response to activist Greta Thunberg that gave his location away but this has not been confirmed. His video featured two takeaway pizza boxes featuring the address of a restaurant. The Romanian pizza joint, Jerry’s Pizza, has since been flooded with positive reviews following the news of Tate's arrest. The former kickboxer experienced his first taste of fame (outside of sport) on 2016's series of Big Brother, where Channel 5 bosses eventually booted him off. During his time on the show, set to return on ITV next year, there were reports of homophobic and racist tweets resurfaced, says The Sun. This was the start of Tate's Big Brother decline. Shortly after, footage of Tate striking a woman with a belt was shared with the press, where he threatened to "f***ing kill her" if she messaged another man. He first came to prominence outside of the sporting arena while appearing on the 2016 season of Big Brother in the UK, which ended in controversial circumstances. Tate gained notoriety at the time after he was evicted from the series after a video surfaced online appearing to show him beating a woman with a belt. Speaking at the time, Tate claimed that it was part of role-play to which the woman in the video had consented. He also said he was using a felt belt. In a statement made to his Facebook, he said: ”They cut out all the sound cause she’s LAUGHING in the video. And they cut off the end of the video where she gets the belt and hits me back while we’re both laughing. What bullsh**t. It was 2012 and we were having a laugh.” He later drew criticism following comments surrounding rape which he made following the #MeToo movement. It was one Australian woman's lucky day after she found a "one in a billion" perfectly round egg in her grocery shop. The rare circular egg was bought at Woolworths supermarket and amazed at her discovery she shared a video of it with Melbourne’s 3AW broadcaster Jacqui Felgate. In the Instagram post sharing the clip, Felgate wrote: "From a follower. Not my egg." There are some weird and wonderful things to be found on Google Street View, but one video got people particularly excited as they thought they found a giant snake skeleton. TikTok account @googlemapsfun posts clips of things they’ve found while exploring the world on Google Maps. In one recent clip which has been viewed over 2 million times, they revealed some of the “creepiest things Google Maps recorded without knowing it”. Firstly in the clip, they revealed in the woods of Russia there’s a giant “Bigfoot” captured on camera. Next, they purport to have discovered a 30m long snake skeleton in France that can be seen from satellites. They suggested the skeleton is of an extinct Titanoboa snake and posted an image of the animal. The voiceover said: “Somewhere in France, we can see something giant you can only see with satellites. “Hidden on Google Earth, users believe this to be a giant snake. It’s about 30 meters long and bigger than any snake caught before.” @googlemapsfun Follow for more!?? #googleearth #googlemaps #googlemapsfun But, unfortunately for excited TikTok viewers who were excited by the discovery, a fact-checking site has revealed that the skeleton is not what it seems. But crucially, the skeleton is an art installation made of metal. The sculpture was created by Chinese artist Huang Yong Ping and measures in at 130 metres long. It is known as Le Serpent d’Océan and when the tide is out, it is visible from satellites. A local tourist website said: “Since June 2012 a huge snake, the work of the Chinese artist Huang Yong Ping, emerges on the beach of Mindin. “Its skeleton appears with each tide, resembling an archaeological excavation and its movement makes it look alive.
