Sylvester Stallone writes breakup texts for his daughters
Sylvester Stallone writes breakup texts for his daughters
Meeting your other half's parents can be daunting, so you can only imagine how intimidating it must be if their father is none other than, Sylvester Stallone. His two daughters recently appeared on the Giggly Squad podcast, where they opened up about the famed actor being a "savant" when it comes to their dating lives. "In one area, he writes most of our breakup texts," Sistine confessed, while Sophia chimed in and offered her advice to fellow women: "I highly suggest that girls should go up to their dad and have their dad write a breakup text because men know men." Sistine went on to add that her exes have never been mad at her honesty from such text messages. Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter When it comes to bringing a new man home, the pair admitted the Rocky star isn't the most welcoming. When Sistine thinks she's found a "good egg" and opts to introduce him to her father, "he's always standoffish, stands in the corner, doesn’t say anything." Sophia jokingly added that he "always has a cigar" during the initial meets. “I go, ‘Why do you do that?’ And he goes, 'I can tell within the first four minutes of meeting him if he’s going to last or not, and so I’m not going to waste my time,'" she continued. "And he’s right every time." That said, the pair disclaimed that the star gets along with their younger sister's partner. "He only likes my sister’s boyfriend," Sophia said. "He’s kind of got the thing with the watches, and he likes polo… If you can relate on things with him, he’ll like you." Have your say in our news democracy. Man United legend departs club in bizarre circumstances
Man United legend departs club in bizarre circumstances
Ruud van Nistelrooy, a bonafide Manchester United legend has quit his managerial position at PSV Eindhoven in bizarre circumstances. Despite lifting two trophies with the Dutch side - the KNVB cup and the Johan Cruyff Shield, van Nistelrooy has resigned with a game remaining in the Eredivisie, and will not see out the season at PSV. The club could still seal a second place finish in the Dutch league with a win over AZ Alkmaar (who have been in the news for their own reasons recently), but the ex-striker will no longer oversee that - a reward in itself behind a dominant and immovable Ajax side. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter PSV's statement read as follows: 'PSV regrets van Nistelrooy's decision and is grateful to him for winning the Johan Cruyff Shield and the TOTO KNVB Cup this season and hopes to close the football year with second place.' According to a number of outlets, friction behind the scenes is the cause of van Nistelrooy's dramatic departure. PSV lost two stars to Premier League sides - with Noni Madueke joining Chelsea and Cody Gakpo moving to Liverpool. Bold also state that van Nistelrooy chose to suddenly depart after realising a lack of support for his methods - following a series of meetings with the board regarding 'internal matters'. Van Nistelrooy leaves PSV having won 65 per cent of his games in charge, after a long stint as a backroom and youth coach at the club. It's not the first time he has departed PSV either - in 2001 he left the club to grow his legend at Manchester United. Perhaps something similar will follow now? Have your say in our news democracy. Andrew Tate called a 'ghost' after reacting to 'death hoax joke' by parody news network
Misogynist Andrew Tate has responded to a parody Twitter news account that claimed he had died. The post, tweeted by the account ‘ Suspicious News’ featured a photo of Tate with the headline ‘Andrew Tate found dead in Romania after fight with James Charles.’ The tweet also had a subheading that joked ‘he was found on the floor with a full face of makeup.’ The tweet gained thousands of likes and even led to Tate himself responding. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter ‘I don’t think jokes about my death are very funny. Especially with enemies like mine’ Tate replied. He added, ‘you should be careful the negativity you put into the universe, negativity sticks to anybody who spread it.’ Suspicious News responded to Tate’s comment with a new headline that read: ‘Ghost of Andrew Tate claims James Charles didn’t kill him.’ They added ‘bro missed the ‘parody’ in bio LOL.’ James Charles is a gay makeup influencer with over 23 million subscribers. Tate who has made many homophobic remarks before, was obviously upset with the joke being made. Tate’s push back against spreading ‘negativity’ is an interesting response from someone who has based his career off of spreading hateful remarks towards minority groups. Tate hated the joke so much that he blocked the Twitter account. Others, however, saw the funny side of things: Have your say in our news democracy. England squad LIVE: Gareth Southgate to name squad for Three Lions’ Euro 2024 qualifiers
Gareth Southgate will today name his England squad for two upcoming fixtures against Malta and North Macedonia. The Three Lions currently top their Euro 2024 qualifying group, and six further points here will leave them looking well on track to make the tournament having already beaten Italy and Ukraine. These pair of games in June will effectively mark the end of the men’s season, with no summer tournament and club football coming to an end beforehand, meaning a potentially big chance to impress for some players as the qualification campaign reaches the halfway stage. Newcastle’s Callum Wilson, Brighton’s Lewis Dunk and Leicester’s James Maddison are all tipped to be included after strong individual ends to the season, despite contrasting form for their clubs.
