Heavy rain forced nearby roads to be closed, and those in attendance have been urged to conserve food and take shelter. "The Gate and airport in and out of Black Rock City remain closed," X/Twitter account Burning Man Traffic wrote. "Ingress and egress are halted until further notice. No driving is permitted except emergency vehicles. If you are in BRC, conserve food, water, and fuel, and shelter in a warm, safe space. More updates to come." In what some have jokingly called a "simulation glitch," Diplo took to Instagram to share a clip from the day. It showed him and Rock riding in the back of a pickup truck after walking six miles in the mud. Diplo wrote: "I legit walked the side of the road for hours with my thumb out cuz i have a show in dc tonight and didn't want to let yall down. Also shoutout to this guy for making the smart purchase of a truck not knowing it was for this exact moment (sic)". In the video, the 44-year-old joked that all Rock "could think about was a f***ing cold brew." Hundreds of fans flocked to the clip, with one writing: "Nobody gon believe em when he tells this story at the bar 'Yea Diplo AND Chris Rock surrrrre' (sic)". "Imagine picking up Diplo and Chris Rock just casually trekking through the desert lol," another added, while a third called their escape "absolutely wild and iconic at the same time." Meanwhile, a fourth joked: "I love that Rock is wearing the most non-Burning Man outfit ever. Legend." The comedian also updated fans on the grim Burning Man scenes via his Instagram Stories. In one, he explained that "because of the flooding, the port-o-potties reportedly can’t be emptied and because the gates are closed, people can’t get in to fill generators or deliver supplies." Aaron Ramsey has described Brennan Johnson’s potential as “scary” but admits he was unhappy to see his Wales team-mate join Tottenham on transfer deadline day. Ramsey spent 11 years in north London at Arsenal where he made 370 nearly appearances and twice scored FA Cup final-winning goals for the Gunners. The 32-year-old midfielder left Arsenal in 2019 and had spells at Juventus and Nice before rejoining his first club Cardiff this summer. But having linked up with Wales for their crunch Euro 2024 qualifier in Latvia, Ramsey showed his Arsenal loyalties run deep when he said of forward Johnson’s £47.5million move from Nottingham Forest on Friday: “I wish it weren’t to Tottenham. “For him it’s a brilliant move. The potential he has is quite scary and hopefully he can take those next steps and go to the next level. “He’s going to be important for Wales as well. Football fans can’t resist celebrating last minute goals – even while clearly visible in the background of a national news broadcast. An Arsenal fan couldn’t help but enjoy his side’s late win against Manchester United while working in the Channel 4 newsroom on Sunday. News reader Ciaran Jenkins was delivering a live report from the studio when a figure in the background could be seen standing up and raising both arms aloft. The excited fan was celebrating the goal from Declan Rice which secured the win for the north London side. “That’s all we have time for this evening,” Jenkins said during the broadcast, with the figure jumping to his feet during the winning moment behind him. The game had been poised at 1-1, with the match seemingly heading for a draw. However, Rice fired home to take the result away from United, with the game eventually ending 3-1 after Gabriel Jesus also scored during the eight minutes of added time. Despite the third goal, Rice’s strike proved the decisive moment in the game. He spoke to Sky Sports after the match and said: “We were knocking at the door on the corners, I had a chance in the first half but I felt we were a constant threat. The one at the end I scored, [I] stayed at the back post, I controlled it on my chin and scored.” On the importance of the result, he added: “Man City have won four out of four. We would be five points behind them if we didn’t win. To catch up points on them is a massive task so we couldn’t afford to give them that after four games. “To win that today was a must-win.
