MrBeast has reached out to a young boy and his father who were pranked by people pretending to be from his team. It comes after TikTok user NoahGlennCarter posted about an incident where the two were scammed into thinking MrBeast wanted them involved in one of his videos. As the viral video explains, the young boy and his dad were shopping when they were approached by someone claiming they worked for MrBeast. They then told the son and father they were going to blindfold them and let them fill up the shopping cart with as much as they could get their hands on. The hugely popular YouTuber replied to a news post about the scam, writing: “Give me his info!!” It comes after MrBeast, real name James Stephen Donaldson, randomly asked for cash from one of the world’s richest men. The thought of being likened to Andrew Tate would send shudders down the spines of many. But for YouTube personality Pearl Davis it’s all in a day’s work. The proudly “anti-feminist” influencer has become a darling of the far-right right for her outspoken views on everything from why divorce should be banned to why women shouldn’t vote. The 26-year-old’s inflammatory opinions have earned her 1.55 million followers on YouTube and almost 220,000 on Twitter. She racked up around 930,000 on TikTok before she was banned from the platform entirely. So who exactly is the controversial commentator who’s now known as “the female Andrew Tate”? And how did she become toxic masculinity’s new star? Who is she? Davis, who’s full name is Hannah Pearl Davis, was born in the suburbs of Chicago as one of ten children, including three adopted siblings – one of whom was a “homeless kid” on her brother’s football team. In a lengthy interview for the ‘Anything Goes With James English’ podcast Davis, who is now based in London, said she’d had a happy upbringing and was very “family-oriented”. She began making content for TikTok and YouTube around two years ago, starting off with reaction videos in which she repeatedly refers to herself as the “Whitest girl in the world”. Davis has touted herself as a proponent of what’s been dubbed the “red pill” movement, which is essentially a Reddit-based group that believes that society and nature favour women over men. How did she make a name for herself? She had already amassed something of a cult following thanks to her promotion of ultra-conservative, anti-”woke” beliefs. However, her popularity saw a sharp increase following Tate’s arrest on sex trafficking charges back in December. Tate had been a guest on her ‘Pregame’ show shortly before he was taken into custody in Romania. Since then her YouTube following has jumped from around 800,000 subscribers to 1.54 million, according to the analytics tool SocialBlade. For anyone wondering how she feels about being branded “the female Andrew Tate”, she answered the question directly when it was put to her by none other than Piers Morgan. In an interview for his Talk TV show on Monday, Morgan asked Davis how she felt about the moniker, to which she replied: “I take it as a compliment. I’m a fan of Andrew Tate.” Admitting that she wasn’t a fan of “everything” Tate had ever said, however, she then added: “Overall, his message is good. Overall. I think he's been absolutely phenomenal for young men.” What have been some of her most controversial comments? Besides declaring that Tate has been “absolutely phenomenal for young men”, Davis has churned out countless contentious assessments and opinions. According to Davis, her most viral clip centred on a discussion she had with a group of women in which she asked whether “most girls [...] think they’re hotter than they are”. In an attempt to define what makes a “s***ty wife”, she went on: “You don’t cook for your man, you belittle him, you nag on him all the time, you don’t treat him like a man.” She then continued: “You don’t have sex with him, and when he goes looking outside of the relationship because, at the end of the day, he doesn’t want to get divorced, you put all the blame on him and don’t take any accountability for your part to play in it.” In another video, seen by Insider, she said that when unmarried women get pregnant it is "99.9999 per cent the woman's fault." Does Davis admit that she’s a misogynist? No, amazingly, she insists that she "doesn’t hate women”. And, instead, says she is simply fighting men’s corner because there’s “not a lot of empathy” for them online. A doctor has urged people to stop peeing in the shower as it could cause a slight problem in the future. Urogynaecologist Dr Teresa Irwin turned to her 91,000 TikTok followers to offer her expertise, where she claims that peeing while showering can trick your brain into thinking you need the toilet every time you hear running water. "You don't want to do it all the time because what happens is every time you hear the sound of water, your bladder is going to want to pee - because it's used to hearing the sound of the water in the shower," she told her viewers. "So whenever you're washing your hands, washing the dishes, your bladder is going to be salivating, so to speak, because it wants to go and pee." Dr Alicia Jeffrey-Thomas, a Boston-based pelvic floor therapist, said: "If you pee while the water is running, then you're creating an association in your brain between the sound of running water and having to pee." She also went on to say that those born with female anatomy were not created "to pee standing up." Professor Ajay Rane, Townsville Hospital's Director of Urogynaecology and Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at James Cook University said they had conducted research into the "most appropriate posture" for women sitting on the toilet. "The appropriate posture is to sit on the toilet with your feet flat on the ground," Prof. Rane said at the US 2004 Urogynaecology Society Meeting on 'The Perfect Pee' back in 2004. He also said that feet flat on the ground "promote relaxation of your thigh muscles and your pelvic muscles." Rane further added that elbows should be on the knees as people "lean forward as if you are reading a newspaper on the floor" which helps to empty "both your bowel and bladder." Andrew Tate’s manager has hit out at Adin Ross, saying he has “no respect” for the streamer. Ross has been associated with Tate since he first came to prominence last year. He was even on the visitor list while he was in custody in Romania. Now, the unnamed manager who works for Tate and his brother Tristan has spoken about him and said that he doesn't believe Ross isn’t worthy of Tate’s time. Speaking to internet personality Sneako on a podcast, the manager said: “Man I had no respect for the guy before. A teacher has become extremely popular after students discovered her OnlyFans account, with pupils now begging her to teach them. Sofia Coste, 28, began making saucy content six months ago as a way to earn some extra cash, but she had no idea how big she would become. After trying to keep the account a secret, the OnlyFans star found out her students watch her content, making for some awkward experiences at work. Taking to TikTok, Sofia quickly gained over 296,000 followers from students and parents alike as she shared details on the side hustle. She said: “To be honest, in the school where I work, people talk a lot about me and [that’s] not always a good thing. “They talk about whether or not students want to join my class, but in the end, it is not my decision because we have to follow the rules. “Everything is regulated and it is not my right to accept or reject the students.” After discovering their teacher online, many students jumped at the chance of seeing her in person, requesting to join Sofia’s classes. Apparently lettuce has a use other than being eaten in salads and sandwiches, according to a new TikTok trend. Apparently some people swear that lettuce water can help you fall asleep. TikToker, Shalpa Hoque tried the hack out for herself and documented her process. You can watch her video in full here. “So apparently drinking lettuce water makes you sleepy, sis don’t sleep so imma try it out,” she wrote in the clip. Shalpa then ripped up some of the leafy greens and stuffed them into her mug before pouring in some boiling hot water. She mixed her lettuce water with peppermint tea because she was “scared it was going to taste like sh*t.” After leaving it to soak in the water for 10 minutes, she then takes the lettuce out and takes a sip, “it takes like nothing,” Shalpa says. Later she provides an update on how she’s feeling after the drink. “Update, I do feel slight drowsy, not hella sleepy like knockout, but I do feel sleepy.” Cut to some time later, and in another update the drink seems to have affected Shalpa more. “Another update, lettuce has crack because your sis is gone,” she said in bed with her eyes closed. TikTok users seemed to be intrigued by this so-called sleep hack, as the video now has 7.2m views, and over 1.4m likes. However, Marie-Pierre St-Onge, an associate professor of nutritional medicine and the director of the Sleep Center of Excellence at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, told Insider that there is no research to prove that lettuce water helps us fall asleep. However, this has been found to be the case for rats where lettuce has helped them doze off. In a 2017 study, researchers looked at whether low and high doses of red romaine lettuce extract helped mice stay asleep longer. Results show that it worked for the rats, but it’s unclear whether TikTokers were using this particular lettuce to improve their sleep. St-Onge also questioned how effective stewing the lettuce in boiling water would be - even if it was the red romaine TikTokers were using. “How much of those lettuce extracts are you getting from water? I’m not sure,” she said. But those on the app insist they’ve been able to fall asleep quicker from it - so what’s the possible reason for this? This may be caused by the placebo effect, according to St-Onge. It’s when you convince yourself and your body that a treatment is working - even if that is not the case. “If you expect something to work, then you probably feel more sleepy,” St-Onge added. While consuming and getting wrapped up in these bizarre trends, it’s easy to forget the simple steps we can take to improve our sleep that are scientifically proven to work on humans. From reducing our screen time, to reducing light, to mindfulness and physical exercise - soggy lettuce doesn’t seem quite as appealing somehow.

Trisha Paytas says she feels “super disrespected” after it was revealed that Colleen Ballinger sent unsolicited nudes of Paytas to her fans. Paytas is the latest person to speak up amidst the ongoing allegations against the YouTuber also known as Miranda Sings. Ballinger has been embroiled in a wave of allegations in the past few weeks after previous fans have spoken up about their inappropriate relationship with Ballinger whilst they were minors. It was claimed that Ballinger made fun of YouTuber Trisha Paytas’ body to her fans and also sent minors nude photos of Paytas. On Monday Paytas uploaded a 21-minute YouTube video titled ‘colleen’ discussing her relationship with the fellow YouTuber. The pair had recently started a podcast together as two mums with young children titled Oversharing. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Paytas starts the video by saying: “These most recent things that are coming out, everyone knows that I have a very very very firm stance on talking to anyone underage, platonic or not, I’ve always been very very firm with this that I think it’s appropriate.” “When all this came out I was shocked, you know the group chats and stuff I was kind of shocked, and it’s such a difficult thing because Colleen is someone that I quickly, literally in the past month that we did this podcast, like I really really cared about and really related to.” Paytas, who has long been a controversial figure and often embroiled in scandals herself shared that prior to Ballinger’s now infamous apology video “we were staying in touch because again I know what it feels like to have the whole internet come down on you. Even if the whole internet is right.” “I don’t want anyone, guilty or not, to ever feel like they don’t have someone to talk to.” Speaking of the allegations made in regards to Ballinger sending Paytas’ nudes to her fans, some who were minors, Paytas said she was “waiting to see what would come out” because of the “serious” and “illegal” aspects of the allegations. “It’s a topic I don’t take lightly and I can’t take lightly,” she adds. colleen youtu.be Paytas is widely known as a sex worker as well as for her YouTube videos. I think that’s so inhumane, so disgusting for anyone.” Prior to Paytas’ video, Johnny Silvestri, a previous fan of Ballinger who had messaged and met Ballinger on multiple occasions, shared censored photos of Paytas that had been sent to him by Ballinger. “Last night the text messages were shown and it’s very clearly from Colleen to a fan, it has over half a million views on Twitter. I’m not embarrassed by [them], I’m embarrassed for her.” “And these weren’t a long time ago, this is someone well into their 30s who just gave birth sending nudes, and I, a month prior, I was in her house meeting her child, meeting her newborn, and doing a mukbang with her,” says Paytas, clearly hurt. “In these texts there’s also friends of hers, they showed the viewing parties that were talked about, to make fun of me, they did viewing parties of my adult content to make fun of me.” Paytas also revealed that before the text messages were posted online, she had privately asked Colleen if the accusations were true and that Ballinger “assured me that she had never sent photos of me, that this one fan who was underage at the time would send photos to her.” “She said everything is taken out of context, these are lies.” Paytas concludes the video by saying “I just had to make this video to say I don’t stand behind Colleen whatsoever. A food delivery driver has caused a stir online after insulting a customer for their $5 (£3.90) tip. In a widely shared clip on TikTok, a man is seen delivering a pizza before making a snarky joke about the low tip. "I just wanna say, this is a nice house for a $5 tip," he says through the video doorbell, to which the customer sarcastically hits back: "You're welcome." The delivery driver made sure to squeeze in the last word, telling the takeaway customer "f*** you" and walking away. It didn't take long for the viral footage to cause a debate online, with some saying they felt like a $5 tip on a $20 order was acceptable. "I say 5$ is good since it was a 20$ order...seriously, what do they expect more than what the order is," one person wrote, as another chimed in: "Did he expect a 100 dollar tip on a 20 dollar order?" They would have called him Jonah in a past life… When lobster diver Michael Packard found himself being swallowed up by a humpback whale he was convinced his time had come. But just as he was having what he assumed to be his final thoughts, the whale decided against it and spat him out. Packard was able to swim to safety after the incident, which was in June 2021. Since then, he has given a series of interviews about the death-defying episode. “[I was] trapped for about 30-40 seconds. Yes, I was almost convinced I was going to die that day,” he said in a Reddit Ask Me Anything. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter “All of a sudden, I felt this huge shove and the next thing I knew it was completely black,” he said in a separate interview with the Cape Cod Times. “I could sense I was moving, and I could feel the whale squeezing with the muscles in his mouth,” Packard was 56 at the time, and initially thought he was inside a great white shark. However, he couldn’t feel any teeth and he hadn’t suffered any obvious wounds, and it dawned on him that the situation was far more biblical than that. “I was completely inside; it was completely black,” Packard said. “I thought to myself, ‘there’s no way I’m getting out of here. I’m done, I’m dead.’ All I could think of was my boys — they’re 12 and 15 years old.” Experts think the incident was likely a freak accident, and that the humpback whales are not aggressive towards humans. (That puts them in a different category to orcas, which have spent the first half of 2023 exacting their revenge on humankind.) Jooke Robbins, director of Humpback Whale Studies at the Center for Coastal Studies in Provincetown, said: “Based on what was described, this would have to be a mistake and an accident on the part of the humpback.” When a humpback opens its mouth to feed, it billows out like a parachute, blocking the animal’s forward vision, which is why so many become entangled in fishing gear in their mouth and jaws, said Robbins. It isn’t even Packard’s first brush with death. The diver also managed to survive a plane crash in Costa Rica in 2001 in miraculous circumstances. The crash, which killed three people, saw Packard sustain “severe facial injuries and multiple broken long bones in his arms and legs”, according to a Cape Cod Times dispatch in 2001. A doctor who treated the survivors told the Associated Press: "They would not have survived another night at that site." As for the whale escape? Every now and then the phrase will trend, especially when Elon Musk does something people do not like. "Space Karen" is the insulting nickname people use to refer to Musk, 51. People used it against Musk again after he suspended several journalists' accounts who had been covering him from Twitter last year. Musk accused them of "doxxing" his private information. People have called out Musk for preaching that he wanted to make Twitter free-speech-oriented while censoring journalists who have covered him and his companies. The name "Karen" has become synonymous with middle-aged, white women who are exemplifying entitled behavior. Many felt Musk was suspending accounts on personal bias. Musk was bestowed his nickname in November 2020, after he tweeted questioning the validity of Covid-19 rapid tests. During the pandemic, those who questioned Covid-19, vaccines, or refused to comply with restrictions were often called Karen. "What's bogus is that Space Karen didn't read up on the test before complaining to his millions of followers," Dr Emily Bell wrote. Space Karen has become Twitter's method of calling out Musk for being entitled or exhibiting exclusive behaviors. Like when Musk made fun of people who declare their pronouns. And now people are using the nickname again, after Twitter applied a temporary limit to the number of tweets users can read in a day, with Musk saying the temporary limits were to address "extreme levels of data scraping and system manipulation". A woman was left stunned during a house viewing after discovering a young man sleeping on the sofa surrounded by booze. Katie Elliott was seeking new rental property for her and two friends. She went to view the three-bed pad with the letting agent. However, after arriving she discovered the house was not only filthy, but a current tenant was dozing on the couch. He was wearing a green T-shirt and black pants with a duvet half-covering him. Katie filmed it on her phone and was shocked by the house in Newcastle, but also found it hilarious. The 24-year-old said: “The letting agent warned me before we went in that it was extremely dirty and said that they were really struggling with it. “I didn't expect it to be that bad. “You could tell she was embarrassed and she was talking about how ridiculous it was. “The guy on the sofa didn't even notice us, I think he was just fast asleep to be honest. “However, it was 12pm so it wasn't even that early in the day. “It just me who viewed it but the rest of the house was just as bad too. “There was a guy in one of the bedrooms that was arguing with the woman about the mess not being his as he's not there that often as well.” Katie has also revealed, unsurprisingly, that her and her friend did not go for this property. A photo of a freeway sign in the US has gone viral because of its rather unsavoury connection: cannibalism. Police posted a picture on Facebook of the Donner Lake exit on Interstate 80 in California on Wednesday. But the lake is named after a group of Midwestern pioneers who were forced to spend the winter of 1846–47 in the Sierra Nevada mountain range: the Donner Party.
