Who is Adin Ross and is he interviewing Kim Jong Un?
Adin Ross, one of the most-watched streamers on the internet, is claiming that he will be interviewing North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on his channel on Wednesday evening. The controversial streamer who has previously collaborated with Andrew Tate and has also been banned from Twitch for a string of offenses. Ross is hitting the headlines again for claiming that he is due to interview Kim Jong Un on his streaming feed despite being apparently warned not to go ahead with the talk with the North Korean dictator. During a stream earlier this week, Ross stated: "I'm getting it in today's stream. I have to address this s*** now," he said. "Listen... okay, Kim Jong Un is locked in (for) tomorrow's stream, at 7:30 Miami time. Okay?" Ross also shared a series of questions that he has planned for Kim which include: Thoughts on LGBT? Can you give Stake money back? React to Andrew Tate. Visit North Korea? Add Yeonmi Park to call. Trump vs. Biden. USA better than North Korea. E-date? Fake n*tsack prank. He also claimed that the US government had been in contact with his legal team to warn of the potentially serious consequences of interviewing Kim. He added: "They saw and hit up, basically, my team and they just let me know there could be consequences for this. You know?" There is little to no indication as to whether this is real or not but Ross has gone as far as to put together poster to hype 'The Interview.' All eyes will be on his stream at 7pm EST to see whether he was telling the truth or if we all fell for an elaborate prank. Who is Adin Ross? Ross started his online gaming career in 2014 when he joined YouTube as a Grand Theft Auto and NBA 2K content creator. He then ventured onto Twitch when as his following grew. His streams have since featured rappers including Lil Uzi Vert and Tory Lanez, who was convicted of assault in December 2022. One of his most prominent Twitch bans was a result of a gambling stream, which the platform prohibits. He claimed his most recent ban is for "no reason". Ross has since moved over to Kick, Twitch's rival streaming platform. The new platform has a looser set of rules, which saw Ross reportedly stream the Super Bowl, sharing video calls of white friends saying the N-word and scrolling through Pornhub in front of his reported younger demographic. "Listen, I got permanently banned on Twitch. It’s done, it’s already done," Ross said in a video posted on 26 February. "But I got permanently banned for no reason at all. How do you ban someone on Twitch and my reasoning is for VODs/on-stream, when I haven’t even been streaming there? This is exactly why everyone needs to see Twitch for what it is. It’s full of corrupted, pure corrupted Karens and they’re pick-and-choose-me. And unless you’re a certain person with certain beliefs [Twitch doesn’t] f*** with you." Restaurant called out for 'infuriating' service charge for diners eating alone
A restaurant has caused an explosive debate online after charging a solo diner a hefty service charge. In a popular Reddit thread, one infuriated foodie shared their experience at a Vietnamese restaurant in California. They shared a photo of the receipt that detailed the additional charge of $8.91 (£7.20) and a sales tax of $4.52 (£3.65). The small print at the bottom reads: "18.00% Service Charge Included. For parties of one or larger, a 18.00% gratuity is applied automatically. If you have any questions, please speak with a manager." The post was soon inundated with thousands of fellow Redditors, who were seemingly as irritated as the poster. "For parties of 1 or larger? What a convoluted way of saying everybody is charged 18%," one person wrote, while another added: "There is a place in town that adds an extra 20% "living wage increase" to all orders. But they make a point of saying that it isn't a tip. My wife then insists on tipping 20% on top of that. We don't go there anymore." "‘Hello I’d like to reserve a table for 0 people’ – Checkmate," a third joked. Meanwhile, one person humoured: "Ha! The joke's on them, I tip 20%. Suckers. Saved me 2%" Reddit - Dive into anything from mildlyinfuriating It comes after a former Apprentice star called solo diners "pathetic" people who "need to make friends". During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Ryan Mark Parsons shared his discomfort with solo eaters. "I think people that do it are pathetic. I think Alex is one of those losers that goes to restaurants alone, and it's weird," he said, adding: "I go to restaurants and see solo diners and I'm just uncomfortable. I question the motives, I think it's really, really bizarre." Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. 'Trump Jr declares his dad is dead' and he's running for president in suspected account hack
We're used to wild plot twists when it comes to Donald Trump and his brood, but no one could have seen this one coming. The MAGA commander-in-chief is dead and his son, Donald Jr, is running for president in his place – that is, at least, according to the latter's X/Twitter account. A tweet posted at 1:25pm UK time (8:25am ET) from his verified page read: "I'm sad to announce, my father Donald Trump has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024." The apparent bombshell was followed by a string of further outlandish, offensive and down-right dangerous comments, including jibes at North Korea, Logan Paul and an expletive-filled attack on Joe Biden. It was half an hour before the jaw-dropping thread was removed and, at the time of writing, no official explanation had been given. The safe assumption is that the account was hacked but with no word from the horse's mouth, who can say for sure... Naturally, eagle-eyed social media scrollers seized on the unexpected outburst, with many capturing screenshots to immortalise the embarrassing mishap. And anyone concerned that there was any truth in the announcements needed only turn to Trump Sr's favourite online stomping ground. The former world leader was busy ranting on Truth Social right when things were kicking off. So yes, he's very much still alive. Bartender admits she judges people who order famous cocktail
A drink of choice can say a lot about a person, and now one TikTok-famous bartender has gone viral after admitting she judges people "a little" who opt for the world-famous Long Island Iced Tea. In a clip that's racked up over 3.3 million views, TikTok user @soundbowlbae demonstrates how to make the classic cocktail, while making a lighthearted joke about those who order it. "Let me tell y'all a secret," she said."When you come up to the bar and you order a Long Island, the first thing I'm thinking is, 'Is everything ok? Like, is everything going on alright in your life 'cos why on earth would you want four different liquors in your drink?'. "You are getting rum, vodka, tequila and gin all mixed in one. That's just insane." "If you like it, I love it," she continued, before humouring: "Just know that I'm judging you a little bit." @soundbowlbae Recipe .75 ounces of Vodka,Gin,Rum,Tequila add .5 ounces of Triple Sec and Sour add coke to top. For flavors add puree, stir and top with sprite. #longisland #cocktailreceipe #potionsbyp #bartenderlife The clip is accompanied by the recipe for Long Island fan which entails: "75 ounces of Vodka, Gin, Rum, Tequila add .5 ounces of Triple Sec and Sour add coke to top. "Long island the only way to make sure you got liquor in your drink," another said, to which the creator responded: "You ain’t wrong I’m just talking s*** lol." 'Female Andrew Tate' gives the most toxic support to Russell Brand yet
It’s a sad inevitability that the big names defending Russell Brand are some of the most influential in the world. Elon Musk and Andrew Tate – two of the most Googled people on the planet – have already publicly backed the 48-year-old comedian, as have those great champions of right-wing and conservative conspiracy theories: Alex Jones, Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson. And so it comes as no surprise that Pearl Davis, the woman who proudly owns the nickname “the female Andrew Tate”, is the latest red pill ideologist to throw her support behind Brand, who vehemently denies all the allegations made against him. In a YouTube video shared with her 1.8 million YouTube subscribers, Davis announced that “the Matrix is coming after him” and that he is the victim of a “mainstream media” witchhunt. And whilst many of us simply roll our eyes at such warcries from the internet’s self-styled “anti-establishment” fighters, Davis’s arguments in support of Brand should be a genuine cause of concern. She asks in her monologue: “Why would a man that is rich and famous need to rape anybody? [...] Why would a guy need to assault or rape anybody in order to get sex that's having it thrown at him 24/7?” Then, offering an analogy to hit home her point, she adds: “This is the equivalent of me being a billionaire and getting accused of robbing a bank.” Russell Brand Is Being Attacked... www.youtube.com Now, you may gape in horror and disbelief at such base and ignorant “reasoning”, this same logic is applied again and again, getting countless alledged predators off the hook. Indeed, Safe Horizon – the largest victim assistance charity in the US – addressed the issue in a poignant piece back in 2018 titled ‘Why Does the Myth That Attractive Men ‘Don't Have to Rape’ Persist?’ In the first-hand account, writer Jeena Sharma explains that her earliest memory of suffering sexual assault was at the hands of her piano teacher, who was “seemingly handsome, smart and kind, with a daughter of his own”. She said she never told her parents, “not because they wouldn’t care but because [she] felt ashamed and mostly confused”. After all, “how could this man [...] do something that I would only expect from a creepy stranger in an alley?” Sharma went on to cite the example of former NFL player Darren Sharper, who was sentenced to 18 years in prison and accused of drugging and raping as many as 16 women back in 2016. She pointed out that at the time, the judge sentencing Sharper expressed her disbelief at his crimes, saying she couldn’t understand how someone who was college-educated and had grown up “in one of the most loving households” could carry out such atrocities. Russell Brand has strongly denied the accusations against him. Rape Crisis offers support for those affected by rape and sexual abuse. Adin Ross says he's been advised not to interview Kim Jong Un on his stream
Kick streamer Adin Ross claimed he's "locked in" an interview with Kim Jong Un, and US officials have warned him about the "consequences". During a live stream on Tuesday (19 September), Ross told viewers that the North Korean leader would be on his stream in the next 48 hours. "I'm getting it in today's stream. I have to address this s*** now," he said. "Listen... okay, Kim Jong Un is locked in (for) tomorrow's stream, at 7:30 Miami time. Okay?" He went on to share a handful of supposed questions, including: Thoughts on LGBT? Can you give Stake money back? React to Andrew Tate. Visit North Korea? Add Yeonmi Park to call. Trump vs. Biden. USA better than North Korea. E-date? Fake n*tsack prank. Alongside his claims, Ross said people had reached out to his legal team about it and advised him not to go through with it. "We definitely got government officials hitting up my legal team. No, I swear to god, it's not that. It got millions of views on Twitter and it's on TikTok and s**t. They see everything! The government sees everything," he said, adding: "They saw and hit up, basically, my team and they just let me know there could be consequences for this. You know?" Inevitably, the news left X/Twitter users baffled, with one writing: "I was off the internet for a day what the hell did I miss?" Another joked: "Why does Adin Ross have to be the one to represent us of all people." Meanwhile, a third fan shared their concerns, saying if the claims were true, they would "prefer to be another streamer to meet Kim Jong, not this guy." They continued: "The fact is, Kim Jong is a very serious man, and when it comes to a sense of humor, there's a significant difference between Kim Jong and Adin Ross. Kim Jong might laugh. But Laughing at Ross. Ross, if you really are meeting him, don't say stupid sh#%t. Don't disrespect him." Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. The leaked footage of US Only Fools and Horses remake should come with a trigger warning
Leaked footage has revealed a US remake of Only Fools and Horses was in the works and it was absolutely terrible. Only Fools and Horses is arguably one of the most iconic sitcoms to have ever appeared on British television after its 1981 pilot. At its peak, the show drew millions of viewers and smashed TV rating records at the time, with the characters Del Boy and Rodney becoming a part of British comedy culture. Now, it appears America was trying to replicate some of that success on the other side of the Atlantic by attempting to adapt the show into a US version in 2012. Bar a few exceptions, US remakes have historically done horribly and it seems Only Fools and Horses, renamed Kings of Van Nuys, was no different. TV network ABC commissioned two separate pilots and decided to pass on picking up either of them. And, judging by footage leaked online, it’s not hard to see why. A clip was shared online by comedian Tom Mayhew, who wrote: “In 2012, a US remake of Only Fools and Horses was produced. It has recently leaked online. “This is a Trigger warning, for nothing I can say will adequately prepare you for what they did to the beloved British character.” “I've seen hostage tapes that are funnier,” one viewer remarked. Another wrote: “‘US remake of only fools and horses’ instilled in me a deep visceral fear.” “Might have ruined my week, definitely my day,” said someone else. Mayhew elaborated further on his disgust in a YouTube video, in which he explained: “I feel the problems with this adaptation can be summed up in a few sentences. One, I feel like they've missed the whole underclass, working-class aspect of it and just gone, ‘Oh, wouldn't it be funny to do a show about a dodgy Wheeler Dealer and to put them in these crazy situations’. “And they've completely missed one of the great things about the show, was the fact it did show but like a normal family in relatively normal situations and that's why people loved it. “Two they've missed the drama. [...] And three, tonally just all over the place. So yeah, I wouldn't recommend you watch it.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. Bride says she felt ‘lied-to’ after learning husband's secret on wedding night
Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest of your life and your wedding night the icing on that multi-tiered cake. However, that wasn’t the case for one blushing bride who was stunned to discover that her new husband had been harbouring a tiny… secret as they celebrated their nuptials. The woman, 27, wrote about her shock in a resurfaced Reddit post, in which she explained that she and her partner, 32, had only been together a year when they tied the knot and that they had waited to consummate their relationship. “My husband isn't a religious guy, he just says he is ‘old fashioned like that’,” she wrote. “We got close to fooling around a couple [of] times but it never went far. I tried, but he always stopped after it went ‘too far’.” In her headline to the post, she broke down the situation in the starkest terms, saying that her husband had “surprised [her] with micropenis on [their] honeymoon.” She then asked readers if she was wrong to be upset that she had “waited until [her] wedding night to find out that he probably isn't as ‘old fashioned’ as he says he is;” implying that he had insisted on celibacy purely to delay the anatomical discovery. “I'm not going to shame him and honestly I don't even know how I'll broach the topic,” she continued, adding that, at the time, she “just acted like nothing was out of the ordinary”. But, she went on: “I dunno. I kind of feel lied to. Like a half-truth...or something was intentionally withheld from me. “This was unexpected, to say the least” Her admission was met with a flood of comments from fellow Redditors, prompting her to respond with further updates. “My inbox is blowing up with d**k pics. Guys...really? I've seen d**ks before. I know what they look like,” she said in one follow-up. In a subsequent message, she wrote that her husband had seen her post and now wanted to “leave [her] and [sue] her” for “defamation of character”. “He says it's only a matter of time before someone leaks his name,” she went on, explaining that he had seen the post “through an old friend of his who knew he had a micropenis and saw on his [Facebook] that he had just gotten married.” In her next update, she said she had confronted her husband about “intentionally keeping” his secret from her, to which he replied that he was “sure [she] would leave him if [she] knew about the size prior to the wedding.” She continued: “He wanted to talk before the wedding but feared it being called off because of his micropenis and said if both families found out/gossiped about it he would be crushed. “Which is basically what I did with the entire world via Reddit.” In her final message on the debacle, she addressed all the people who had sent her “hate mail”, saying: “I assure you, my husband is a sweet, sweet man. I wouldn't just walk away from him for this. “Nobody is perfect. And if the roles were reversed and he was upset about my lady bits not being up to par, the world would hate him.” She concluded: “This is such a unique situation to find yourself in. Thanks for the support.” A repost of the dramatic thread was shared to the ‘Best of Redditor Updates’ forum, with users largely united in their criticism of the original poster (OP)’s husband. “I’d be upset about the manoeuvring this guy did, not his actual equipment size,” one commentator responded. “Yeah, ‘I thought you wouldn't want to marry me if you knew X, so I withheld this information from your purposely’ is gross and manipulative,” pointed out another. “I feel terrible for her and feel terrible she thinks he is still a good guy,” wrote a third. “She's blinded by pity and manipulation right now, I hope she leaves his a**. “If there was something wrong with her and she lied about it to him until she trapped him I'd feel the same way. His behaviour was appalling.” Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. 'UFO' spotted in Egypt leaving viewers baffled
It feels like 2023 has been the year of the UFO, and now there’s another video that has emerged online which has people in full investigation mode. Whatever you believe it or not, the clip has sparked a big reaction on social media – adding to the long list of curious UFO-related stories to emerge recently. This year, we’ve had congress hearings with witnesses attesting to the existence of UFOs, while it was also revealed that NASA is set to publish results from its unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) independent study which could very well confirm or deny the existence of aliens. The latest clip, claiming to have been filmed in Egypt, could yet prove another talking point. A video which has been circulating on TikTok supposedly shows a UFO flying over the pyramids. @uapworld #amazing #ufo #trend# #videoviral#pyramid#egypt#ancient#anunkai #zetareticuli #mars#ufonetwork#uapworld#fyp#fanpage#fyi#fyc Not only that, but the clip also supposedly shows the unidentified craft firing beams of blue lights – and it’s got a lot of people speculating. While some seemed pretty convinced, others were sceptical to say the least. “CGI through a convenience store camera,” one commented, dismissing the video. “I believe,” one wrote, seemingly more ready to take the video as real. Are you convinced by the footage? Earlier this year, a model has shared what some are describing on social media as the 'best UFO footage ever' after spotting something strange during a flight. Valentina Rueda Velez, a Colombian model who goes by the username @Valentinarueda.v on Instagram, shared a clip during a recent journey on a private plane. Only Fools and Horses fans shocked at Uncle Albert's 'ripped' physique
Uncle Albert was a key part of the success of the timeless comedy Only Fools and Horses for years, but people are only just releasing how ripped he is. Only fools and horses work out, it seems… Buster Merryfield played the part of Rodney and Del Boy’s uncle on the hit show from series four onwards, replacing the late Lennard Pearce who played Grandad. His character was known for living an unhealthy lifestyle, smoking and drinking as he regaled Rodney and Del Boy with tall tales from his time in the Navy. But the reality couldn’t be further from the truth, as Merryfield was the model of health off-camera. He spoke back in 1997 revealing that he’d never smoked or drank in his life, and use to be a successful boxer in his youth. Merryfield was a keen exerciser too, swimming regularly well into his 70s. The last episode may have aired back in 2003, but people are only just appreciating how jacked Uncle Albert was in the show. A Twitter/X user shared a pair of screengrabs from the series, adding the caption: “Is it just me or is Uncle Albert f***ing hench?” The post sparked a big reaction from fans of the show, with one joking: “Well he did used to box in the Navy.” Another vibed: “This is the standard old man build for Peckham, only way to have survived it back then. Hit the weights or get weighed in.” "Buster Merryfield was a unit mate... Had great shape, you wouldn't want to receive a real life 'Trotter's Trembler',” another commented. Influencer Morgan Osman becomes the new Tiffany Gomas with 'Instagram famous' plane rant
An influencer has been publicly shamed for boasting about her dubious celebrity status during a furious rant. Morgan Osman, 35, from Miami Florida, was filmed in the midst of a heated exchange with fellow passengers on board an American Airlines flight when she touted her “star” credentials. The video shows Osman pulling a suitcase from an overhead locker as she tells a man off-camera “Call me a b***h again.” “I did nothing wrong,” she then argues before telling the man and “[his] b***h” to “shut the f**k up”. Walking down the aisle, she spots the flyer who’s recording her and fumes sarcastically: “Film me, I’m Instagram famous, you f**king bum.” Her behaviour was met with mocking laughs from onlookers and ridicule on social media after the video was uploaded to Reddit and Twitter/X. Viewers were quick to point out that they’d never heard of the fashionista who has some 967,000 Insta followers. However, at the time of writing, her account on the platform was “no longer available”. “Lmfao at Instagram famous,” one Twitter/X user wrote. “I’m going to start telling people I’m Monopoly rich.” “What’s great about this new plane lady discourse is that she says ‘STFU, I’m Instagram famous” while in Economy,” another pointed out. “Instagram isn’t Real Life. Oops.” The 35-year-old is perhaps best known for appearing on season 5 of the US reality TV show The Bad Girls Club. But, according to one fan site, she was swiftly booted off early on in the series for breaking into the producer’s room. She also caused a stir for claiming to have secretly dated Britney Spears’s now-ex-husband Sam Asghari shortly after they began their relationship in 2017. Osman shared and quickly deleted a photo showing her locking lips with a man who resembled Asghari and said he was “using Britney”, the New York Post reports. It’s not clear what prompted her viral plane altercation but it’s not the first time an American Airlines passenger has made headlines for jaw-dropping behaviour. A woman who was later identified as Tiffany Gomas shot to internet notoriety for a bizarre outburst in which she uttered the now immortal words “that motherf**ker is not real.” The 38-year-old marketing executive subsequently addressed her actions in a video statement, admitting that they were “completely unacceptable”. However, she has also urged viewers to appreciate that “we all have our bad moments” and has since rebranded herself as a motivational mental health guru. We’re all now waiting to see how Osman will respond now that she really is Instagram – and internet famous. Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy.
