Two mothers have been hailed geniuses for their creative McDonald's dessert hack. Janelle and Kate frequently take to the platform with their divisive food recipes – but one, in particular, has caught the attention of almost 10 million people. The footage shows the pair in the car mashing six McDonald's ice cream cones in a plastic container while disclaiming that things can get messy. They proceed to top the ice cream with chocolate sauce and their own sprinkles for good measure, before using the dessert as a dip for their fries. "It's the sweet and salt mixture," one said, while another called their creation "perfect". The clip was soon inundated with thousands of comments from fellow TikTokers, with one writing: "At first I thought you were crazy but the further you went ... I thought that looks pretty good." Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter "These are my kind of girls," another added, while another stunned user wrote: "WOAHHH why haven’t more people thought of this." Meanwhile, others weren't so convinced... "You lost me at the French fries," one wrote. @janelleandkate Moms share McDonalds secret! ?? #mcdonalds #mcdonaldshacks #momsoftiktok Attention soon turned to the fact that the McDonald's ice cream machine was actually working, a long-standing joke between fans of the fast food chain. The ice cream machine became an international phenomenon that one McFlurry lover launched McBroken in 2020, a site dedicated to tracking all the broken machines in the US. In a 2021 statement by Taylor Commercial Foodservice LLC, the company that makes the machines for McDonald’s, they explained the issues with broken machines. The company said that, although it tries to send out repairs specialists as quickly as it can, the waiting times became longer due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The statement said: "A lot of what’s been broadcasted can be attributed to the lack of knowledge about the equipment and how they operate in the restaurants, "The machines are built up with a lot of interconnecting parts that have to operate in a complex environment and manner." New angle shows what happened to Cardi B fan after being hit by rapper's microphone
A fan who incurred the wrath of Cardi B will think twice before getting overexcited at a concert, new footage suggests. The woman was watching the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper perform in Las Vegas when she splashed her drink up at the star onstage. Cardi (real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus) responded by furiously hurling her microphone at the culprit, to the shock of everyone there. A clip of the incident swiftly went viral on social media, with even the ‘WAP’ icon herself proudly sharing it. Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter However, a new video, showing what became of the offending fan, has left people voicing their sympathy for her. The recording shows the woman, still clutching her cup, instantly gushing: “I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry,” right up at the 30-year-old star in the aftermath of the outburst. Cardi looks down on her – literally and figuratively – as security guards jump down into the crowd and the woman is escorted away. @typicalelliott Mistery solved. This is the most detailed video of what happened to Cardi B that made her threw the microphone at a fan during a concert in las vegas #cardib #microphone #news #ice #drink #fyp #ny #dominicana #drais #rap And whilst most commentators agree that the woman shouldn’t have thrown her drink up in the first place, others think her reaction shows that the whole thing was her accident. “She looks genuinely apologetic,” one TikTok user wrote. “What’s messed up is… what if she really didn’t mean to? Like what if she wasn’t thinking and just waved her hand forgetting the cup [was] lidless?” asked another. Other users pointed to a recording from the concert, taken just moments before when Cardi got splashed (on her body) as she crossed the stage. “Mmm that s**t feel good,” she declared, before bending over and adding: “Put that s**t in my p***y.” @typicalelliott Replying to @luvnosylla I guess the whole thing with Cardi B, thr drink and the mic was a huge misunderstanding after all #cardib #microphone #vegas #news #rap #nyc Many viewed this as an invitation for further drink sprinkling, and said the microphone-hurl victim may have just been trying to comply. But others pointed out that Cardi addressed the issue after she was passed a new mic. “I said splash my p***y not my face, b***h,” she announced, to the cheers of her adoring supporters. 'I helped my wife through her cancer battle now she wants to sleep with another man'
TikTok and Reddit combined have been left stunned by one man's revelation about his wife who has asked if she can sleep with another man despite her husband helping her through her cancer battle. In a post shared on the off my chest subreddit a man shared the trauma that he has gone through while helping his wife through uterine cancer. In the viral post, he wrote: "My wife and I have been married since 2001 and together since 1999. She is the most intelligent, thoughtful, caring, loyal person I know, and I have always thought of myself as fortunate to have met and married her. She is, even today, aesthetically beautiful and men have told her this throughout our marriage. She has always shot them down. "Earlier this year, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer, stage 1 and had a full hysterectomy. I was never concerned about the cancer, it was diagnosed early, dealt with quickly and she made a full recovery. I took time off work to look after her after the surgery and all seemed well. There were some to-be-expected emotional instances on her part and although I am not an emotional person, we dealt with them together." Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter After helping her through her recovery, the couple vowed to 'live their life to the fullest' and began taking trips to places such as the UK, Spain, Portugal and Belize. She even began to take up yoga, swimming and healthy cooking classes but things soon turned sour between the pair. He continues: "Last week she came home from work and told me she wanted a “hall pass”. A one-time opportunity for her to have sex with someone else besides me. She said that since her cancer diagnosis her outlook on life has changed and she doesn’t want to be handcuffed from doing things she wants do. "She explained that there is this guy at her work that she has always had some attraction to. He is leaving the company and she will never see him again, so this is the perfect opportunity to sleep with someone else. She said that I could say no of course but that she would “be mad/disappointed at me for an indeterminate amount of time and that it would be confirmation of my male toxicity and insecurity. "I don’t consider myself to be toxic and if not wanting your wife of 20+ years to have sex with someone else is insecure than I guess I am insecure. I told her that I appreciated her talking to me about this but approval via coercion is not approval. I also said that I do not appreciate her language in describing my, as of yet, unknown reaction to this very large issue that could affect the rest of our marriage/life." His wife eventually apologised for making him make the decision and instead decided for herself that she was going to go through with it and booked out a hotel room where her co-workers were having a sending-off party for the other man in the equation. She told her husband that she hoped he would still be there when she returned and that she would be willing to answer any question he had about the night. He concluded: "Part of me thinks, at least she has been honest with me and she has been through a lot since finding out she had cancer so maybe I should just let it happen. I certainly have no concept of what she went through so I cannot dismiss how this affected her mental state/outlook on life. Part of me wants to put my foot down and say this is not going to happen and deal with those consequences when they happen. Her BFF called me callous for even suggesting that I wouldn’t let it happen, because I have no idea what she went through. I find it hard to believe that she is OK with the possibility of throwing away 20+ years of marriage over some guy that she has had no relationship with outside of work and that I should just call her bluff. Maybe she thinks similarly that I won’t throw away the marriage because of one encounter. I just don’t know what to do. I empathize with her and then an instant later I am angry with her. "Part of me wants to know who this guy is? What does he look like, what has he got that is so enthralling for her. Is he just a safe option? Is he married? Does his wife know? Would I be a callous asshole for saying No? What can I do besides walking away?" @creekyquestions I stuck with my wife through her battle with cancer, and now she wants a hall pass. #creeky #minecraftparkour #reddit #redditstories #redditreadings #askreddit As you can imagine, the man's predicament has stirred quite a debate with many people feeling a great deal of sympathy for the man and offering their own advice. One Reddit user wrote: "You're not callous or insecure - changes to the marriage requires two yesses, and if there's one no, either that item doesn't happen or you get divorced. Unfortunately, your wife has decided that she wants to be single and is doing this so you will leave but she won't take the blame of being the one choosing to end the marriage because she gave you a heads up first. That's why her friends are on her side about it." A second added: "This will only be the first of many. Leave now. She clearly doesn’t want to be in a relationship; she basically told you I don’t care what you say or think I’m having sex with this man. Your marriage as you knew it is over. Time to move on." A third said: "My dad was diagnosed with Cancer last year. Instead of wanting a hall pass from my mom, his wife of 30 years, he wanted to spend time with family more. Just because she got a diagnosis doesn’t excuse this. If she is asking for a “hall pass”, I would “expelled” her and move on from my life. She is gaslighting you by saying she is “disappointed”. If she is speaking this into fruition, she WILL do it. She gave you a heads up. I’m sorry." Have your say in our news democracy. Porn star Riley Reid defended after being shamed for filming with 'fanboy' in hotel room
Pornstar Riley Reid has claimed that she a colleague managed to convince a fan to come back to their hotel room and film a scene with them. 32-year-old Reid shared a photoshoot of herself and OnlyFans creator Rara Knupps on Instagram on Friday wearing matching lingerie, lounging suggestively on a sofa and drinking champagne. The caption for the post, which has been liked more than 172,000 times, saw Reid write: "Last night we convinced a fanboy to come to our room & film a video with us. Don’t you wish you could be this lucky?" However, some of her followers did defend her. One person clapped back: "Y’all need to worry about yourselves instead of random pornstars child. It’s weird." Another said: "Riley all I can say is wow you are the total package beautiful." Meanwhile, fellow pornstar Lena The Plug simply posted four flame emojis. Earlier this year, Reid revealed that she received $12,000 for one single shoot. Speaking on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast she said: "The most I’ve gotten from one day… I think $12,000 for one day on a shoot." Influencer praised after refusing to give up her first class plane seat to child
A woman has gone viral on TikTok after another passenger asked her to move seats on a flight so she could be closer to her child. Sabra, a pharmacist and content creator based in Seattle, posted a short clip from a recent flight she took where she flew from the Pacific Northwest to Paris. In the 6-second video posted to Sabra's TikTok, she films herself in her first class seat with the text overlay reading: "POV: Flight agent asks me if I want to give up my 1A seat so a child sits with their family." In the caption of the video, Sabra asked her viewers if they would have given up their seat, but many agreed with Sabra. "Good for you! If they wanted their kid next to them they should've booked adjacent seats," one user commented. Even parents were agreeing with Sabra with one mum commenting "as a parent that's up to me to make sure my family sit together not at the expense of someone else, I would never dare ask someone to move." "Nope, cause, as a mom, it's a parents responsibility to plan ahead. Just travelled to Europe for 1.5 moths with my toddler and no one had to move," added another. One user suggested that passengers do it deliberately: "I wonder if some families actually on purpose buy the cheapest tickets, to plan to ask someone for their seat 'I got kids, pls move'". Ben Shapiro is fuming that Polly Pocket is 'feminist garbage' before the film has even been made
Right-wing commentator Ben Shapiro is appalled that Lena Dunham is set to direct a Polly Pocket movie after the success of Greta Gerwig's Barbie, already calling the film "feminist garbage". In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, titled "more feminist garbage coming to a theatre near you", the 39-year-old spent the latter part of the 10-minute video complaining about the newly announced movie, after he'd spent 40 minutes (plus another 40 in two more videos) criticising the Barbie movie which has gone on to make $500 million at the global box office in a week. It was announced this week that Lena Dunham was set to direct a 'Polly Pocket' movie starring Lily Collins. Not only was Polly Pocket announced but Mattel also said that Barney, Hot Wheels, American Girl Dolls, and more were also getting the movie star treatment. "Now we are getting the Polly Pocket movie that is going to be directed by Lena Dunham, who is a trash person," Shapiro exclaims as he discusses the announcement. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Not only does Shapiro seemingly not like Dunham as a person, but he also takes issue with Dunham, who he views as an "adult director", directing a children's film. "Lena Dunham is not a director of children's film, she became famous for the extraordinarily sexually graphic HBO show Girls." More Feminist Garbage Coming to a Theater Near You www.youtube.com "Mattel execs say that there's already a great script. I doubt that because they certainly did not have a great script for Barbie." Speaking of the other movies in the works from Mattel, Shapiro bizarrely accused them all of having an agenda to push progressive ideas such as feminism, LGBT+ rights, and climate change: "I assume that American Girl will actually be turned into a feminist icon who scorns America and believes that America was founded in 1619. "Thomas and Friends will be about a gay train or something. And Barney will be about a purple dinosaur railing against global climate change which is putting his friends and family in danger because people drive cars. I can only imagine this is where they're going with this." Since Shapiro's first rant about Barbie, Gerwig has responded to some of the right-wing criticism by saying: "Certainly, there’s a lot of passion. My hope for the movie is that it’s an invitation for everybody to be part of the party and let go of the things that aren’t necessarily serving us as either women or men." Greta Thunberg recreates Barbie scene while protesting UK government oil plans
Climate activist Greta Thunberg has recreated a scene from the Barbie movie while protesting new plans from the UK government about the proposed Rosebank oil field. In a video shared by the campaign group Stop Cambo, which aims to prevent new oil & gas extraction, Thunberg and her fellow environmental activists can be seen outside a UK government building. The four activists then recreate the scene from the Barbie movie where Margot Robbie's stereotypical Barbie has a big blowout party at her house but is overcome with existential thoughts of death leading her to ask her friends: "Do you guys ever think about dying?" In Thunberg's recreation, the text overlay has the 20-year-old Swede ask: "Do you guys ever think about the climate crisis?" As in the movie, the question leads to an awkward pause but the awkward pauses don't come from other Barbies and Kens but instead Rishi Sunak, Grant Shapps and Equinor a Norwegian energy company that runs the Rosebank oil field. The caption for the video reads: "For a safe climate and affordable energy, richer countries like the UK must stop expanding oil and gas production. But UK ministers @rishisunakmp, @grantshapps and oil giant @equinor wants to open the massive Rosebank oil field. This one project would produce more CO2 than the world’s 28 poorest countries do in a year. We can stop it." Rosebank lies west of the Shetland Islands in Scotland and was discovered in 2004. If regulators approve the plans, production in the. area could begin as early as 2026. Have your say in our news democracy. Man who 'transformed' himself into a dog makes new friends in public for first time
A Japanese man, who spent £12,500 transforming himself into a dog, has begun to take his first steps outside into public life and has immediately made his own set of four-legged friends as well as some human ones. The man, known only as Toco, has spent around two million Yen on the hyper-realistic border collie outfit in order to live out his dream of "becoming an animal." In the most recent video on his YouTube channel, which has more than 31,000 subscribers, Toco can be seen playing in public, rolling around, performing tricks and interacting with other dogs. In December 2022, when speaking to the Daily Mirror, Toco admitted that he's now concerned about what his friends will think of him now that he has undergone his transformation. The famous “Chalkboard Mom” revealed her daughter 11 years later
The viral "Chalkboard Mom" from 2012 has come back with an update on her daughter Laikynn, and social media is loving it. McKinli Hatch had the now famous photo to her blog Mommy's Little Sunshine over ten years ago, whilst she was pregnant with her daughter. The photo shows Hatch standing next to a chalkboard that lists the potential names for her daughter: Taylee, McKarty, Nayvie, and Maylee, all crossed out, with the circled "Lakynn" at the bottom. Hatch's unique name choice has ingrained herself, and her daughter, into internet culture, and 11 years later, we've been given an update. Viewers seemingly loved the throwback as the jokes about Hatch's choice of spelling resurfaced a decade later. @mckinli Throw back to my first viral photo ? "I named my daughter Mcieckaealeighphla (pronounced like Lauren) because of you," one viewer joked. "My daughter is Saighlaur (pronounced Mary of course) so I completely get it!" Many said that Hatch was "iconic" for bringing us back for an update. The TikTok even made its way over to Twitter, with many feeling nostalgic for the original meme: Some also noticed that Laikynn's name is spelled with an extra 'I' than the original name: But one user explained the reason behind the extra 'i': The original blog has seemingly been inactive since 2016, but Hatch has since grown a sizeable following on TikTok, posting fashion content as well as documenting her experience as a single mum. Cam girls reveal the weirdest requests that they've ever been sent
Streamer and Only Fans content creator Ashley Tea, took to Twitter to ask cam girls what's the weirdest request they/ve ever been asked, and it was definitely eyeopening. The replies were full of cam girls sharing the weirdest requests they've got from clients, some seeming almost unbelievable, one woman simply commented "where to start..." However, the majority seemingly had that 'one' request that stuck with them, and they were kind enough to share them with the internet. "Someone ask for a custom where I turned them into a turkey. cooked them in the oven, and then ate them from their PoV," one woman commented. She added that the request came when she first started out as a creator and is "honestly sad" that she didn't accept the request at the time. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Another cam girl shared that she "had someone ask me to take my hair extensions and clip them to a thing and pretend I had really long butthole hair." Many couldn't believe the request and asked if she had fulfilled it, but she explained that she hadn't because "he wanted me to do to for $35 so no. My base charge is 150." In the more shocking requests shared, one said that "a guy asked me to dissect a frog in my fanciest lingerie, did not do it lol." "My time has come," replied one cam girl to the question of what was her weirdest request. "I was asked to film myself pooping in a box, send him the poop, get in a call, and instruct him how to eat it. I said 'Sure! For $5,000.' 'I can only send $100, goddess." Another user replied asking her to clarify that if he had the money, would she have done it. "Yeah Probably!" She responded. Another creator shared that she had been asked for a video of her "driving in my car, seat close to the steering wheel, talking the whole time about how afraid of the airbag I am." This request went one step further, however, with the client asking for "a sequel 2 years later, where I am NOT afraid of the airbag anymore, and actually, I feel BETTER all scooted up!" Whilst many shared the strangest requests they had received, many said that they felt they couldn't even share the weirdest content they'd been asked to make, claiming it being too taboo for the mainstream internet. Pilot reveals where the best place to sit on a plane to avoid turbulence
Turbulence will always be an unwanted, but unavoidable part of air travel – but there is one thing passengers can do to help reduce it. Jimmy Nicholson is an airline pilot and former star of The Bachelor Australia, and he shared his “hot tip” for people looking to avoid a bumpy flight. According to his viral TikTok clip, people who specifically choose seats at the front of the aircraft will always experience less turbulence than people who sit at the back. "If you sit in front of the aircraft, you are going to experience less turbulence," but if you're in the back, it's going to be a bit more bumpy," Nicholson said. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Choosing to demonstrate the effect with his pet cat, he said: “Picture this, the rear of the aircraft will swing more. The front will swing less. So if you are scared of flying or feel sick when you experience turbulence, sit up the front of the aircraft. That would be my hot tip." @jimmy_nicholson Best place to sit on a plane if you hate turbulence #pilot #piloto #pilotsoftiktok #turbulence Speaking about the nature of turbulence, he added: “Remember, the aircraft is not going to fall out the sky. You’re all good, it’s just an annoying thing that hopefully will only last for a matter of minutes. "If you do feel sick when you’re flying, look for a visual reference. Look at the window and stare at the horizon. Hopefully it will help you as well. Hopefully there won’t be turbulence for long. We will either climb, descent or try to get you out of the turbulence.” So there you have it – nervous flyers should look to book tickets at the front wherever they can. While it’s true that it’s an unavoidable part of flying, but what exactly is turbulence? Writing for Business Insider, pilot Patrick Smith recently explained what the "rough air" is and why you don't need to worry about it. “Every flight, every day, will encounter some degree of rough air, be it a few light burbles or a more pronounced and consistent chop that sometimes gets your coffee spilling and the plates rattling in the galley,” he said. “From a pilot’s perspective, garden-variety turbulence is seen as a comfort and convenience issue, not a safety issue per se. It’s annoying, but it is not dangerous.” Have your say in our news democracy. Click the upvote icon at the top of the page to help raise this article through the indy100 rankings.
