Woman with 'extreme' chest 'restricted from running' and 'can't go on rollercoasters'
Woman with 'extreme' chest 'restricted from running' and 'can't go on rollercoasters'
A woman who has splashed out more than £29,000 ($38,000 USD) to “super size” her breasts says her chest is so large, she often wears three bras and can’t go on rollercoasters. Katy Ann had her first boob job when she was just 20 years old, going from a natural C to a double D cup. The model has since gone under the knife to expand her breasts three more times, as well as having two butt augmentations, skin-tightening surgery, and non-invasive cosmetic procedures such as Botox and lip fillers. But she’s not bothered about the costs, because she isn’t picking up the tab. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter "My breasts cost $38,000 but I’ve spent around $100,000 on surgery in total – and a majority of it was funded by sugar daddies,” Katy Ann, who is an investor and is getting her real estate license, told NeedToKnow.co.uk. "If I have the time, money, and ambition to change my body, and I can safely do it – then why not? "I wasn’t born 'perfect' so thank goodness for gyms, hair stylists, nutritionists and surgeons. Despite loving her new look, Katy's extreme breasts do come with some challenges. She said: "Tops that aren’t made of spandex or a stretchy material are incredibly hard to fit properly into. "I just can’t walk into any lingerie store or section and buy bras. "There are a few shops that carry my size or I need to have custom-made bras/tops by a tailor. "My surgeon also restricted me from running. "My breast weighs well over 10 pounds – high-impact activities and weight will make my boobs super saggy. "When I do exercise, I will wear two bras and a sports bra for maximum support. "I’ve gone to 'all adults' pools and dealt with a lot of attention, good and bad, because of my body. "Also going on roller coasters is tricky. "The shoulder restraint squishes my enormous boobs and the few times I did go on a roller coaster there was an element of new excitement because I was worried the shoulder restraint didn’t lock properly." Despite these issues, Katy Ann says her look is worth the sacrifice. She said: "I understood going into this super busty lifestyle certain things and activities in my life would need to be modified, if not stopped. "That’s the way life is. "Sometimes you have to give other things up to get what you want." At this moment in time, she has no current plans to go under the knife again but “never say never”. Katy Ann, from Texas, US, added: "I’m happy… for now. “I never say never. "I make plans and God laughs, so who knows? "I could wake up tomorrow and start removing all my plastic surgery or I could go get more. "One thing I would like to point out is that yes, I am totally and completely aware that my breast augmentations are extreme. "This look is certainly an acquired aesthetic taste. "But with the advances of modern medicine, I can have a breast reduction anytime and not look so outlandish. “At this point in my life, I personally am enjoying them. "The day they bring more grief than joy is the day I’ll change them. “And if I do ever get rid of my implants, at least I won’t be paying for it myself.” Have your say in our news democracy. Twiglet the dachshund returned home after armed dognapping in Essex
Twiglet the dachshund returned home after armed dognapping in Essex
Sausage dog Twiglet is safe and reunited with her owners, after a video of her being stolen from a family home in Essex was widely shared. Twiglet, a dachshund, was snatched by a thief who smashed a patio door. Police later released footage of the dog struggling to get away from the thief, who is thought to have sold her on. Jo Vindis, Twiglet’s owner, said she was “elated” that Twiglet was home on Thursday. “Without the video we probably would never have seen her again”. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter “Well, we do love our dogs, don’t we? I think it just resonated with everyone with a dog, or even without, just how someone from your family – just snatched out of your home – it’s just horrible.” The break-in happened at Vindis’ house in Catmere End in Essex. “Our neighbours were round the house within a few minutes of the alarm going off, but he'd already taken her at that point,” said Vindis. “It looks as though that’s what he was after. Nothing else was taken.” Posting on a lost dogs group on Facebook, the owners said: “We can’t thank everyone enough for all of the posts and reposts and noise that has meant that she most likely did become ‘too hot to handle’. “We are blown away by how amazing people have been and want to thank you all so, so much.” The 16-month-old pooch was returned to her family after “a tip-off that came thanks to all of the coverage”. “Someone contacted us and said they thought the dog they had bought was Twiglet, and that's sort of as much as we know, but the investigations are ongoing so we're hopeful that the person who took her will be caught,” Vindis said. Fortunately, the dog is back to being her normal self. Vindis added: “She doesn’t seem too traumatised by it all.” Essex Police said inquiries remained ongoing, with no arrests having been made. Andrew Tate has launched his own comic which costs a staggering amount of money
Andrew Tate has launched his own comic which costs a staggering amount of money
Andrew Tate has announced a new business venture... in comic books – something that certainly wasn't on our 2023 bingo cards. The former kickboxer took to Twitter to share the news of his Top G comic, which reportedly follows the storyline of him and his brother Tristan taking on the Matrix. Classic. Attention soon turned to the cost of the so-called "collectable" item at a staggering $97 (£75). "They don’t want you to know the truth – they want you living in a mental cage, chained by a weak mindset," the official DNG Comics website reads. "I became the superhero of the youth by telling the truth and teaching young men to be strong. And now I am being punished for it, in real time. These stories reflect the harsh truths of the Matrix, how I escaped it, and what I predict they will try next." Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter The news soon racked up some opinions online... "The crazy thing is People will buy it," one person tweeted, while another added: "Well, he is great at comedy." Meanwhile, a third wrote: "Holy moly, In general I don’t care enough to comment what people spend their money on… but MAN." It comes after his two-and-a-half-hour-long sit down with Tucker Carlson was rumoured to be the "most watched interview of all time." The dedicated Tate fan account shared a screenshot of a Wikipedia page titled 'List of most watched television interviews'. However, Sportskeeda revealed the screenshot to be either edited or photoshopped as the current page lists a 1993 Oprah Winfrey interview with Michael Jackson as the most-watched television interview with an average viewership of 62.3 million. Not to mention, the interview was not aired on television, and instead, on Twitter for Carlson's independent talk show named Tucker on Twitter. Have your say in our news democracy. 'His job is beach' is the internet's new favourite meme
'His job is beach' is the internet's new favourite meme
Barbie, which has now been in cinemas for a week and set countless box office records, continues to be a viral sensation with the latest meme coming courtesy of Ken's job in the film: beach. If you've seen the film (and if not, then why not?) then you will have probably been charmed by Ryan Gosling's performance as the confused and downtrodden Ken who apart from trying to catch the eye of Barbie has taken the internet by storm for his very simply job. Although Ken doesn't feel like his role in Barbie Land is fulfilling his many dreams and desires he does take his job at the beach very seriously and is very keen to let everyone know about it. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter This hilariously brief one-liner is repeated a few times during the movie but despite there being bigger jokes throughout the film this one gag has captured meme makers of the world's imaginations with many using the line for other big screen characters. But what if Ken went to the wrong beach... Sadly beach is not for everyone. Other jobs are available. With all that in mind we're off to find out how to apply for the beach job. Mitch McConnell memes are another sign the internet at its worst
Mitch McConnell memes are another sign the internet at its worst
You might detest his politics, but can cracking jokes at the expense of an 81-year-old having a very public health episode ever be a good look? When Republican Senator Mitch McConnell appeared to freeze mid-sentence during a press conference, before being led away by his team, social media was quickly inundated with reaction. McConnell stopped speaking for 19 seconds before being escorted away by concerned colleagues, appearing to sway slightly and lose focus. An aide explained that McConnell had “felt lightheaded and stepped away for a moment”. They continued: “He came back to handle Q&A, which as everyone observed was sharp.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter The memes following the incident were relentless, with people calling on him to retire. Again, much like the reaction to the Titan submersible tragedy and the riots in France earlier this summer, it shows the often cruel, reactionary nature of social media, with people quick to chip in on major incidents in the name of a few easy likes. Calling for younger leaders to represent Americans is perfectly valid, but outright mocking and joking about what appeared to be a serious health concern shows the internet at its least empathetic. Yes, it’s a buzzkill sentiment, and McConnell’s brand of politics has been completely oppositional to many over the years, but that shouldn’t excuse piling on an elderly public figure suffering an episode in the most public of spaces, should it? Some did express similar thoughts online, with one writing: “Oh also about this McConnell business. Y’all need to keep it cute with your insults! Not about McConnell (**** him) but because several people are making ableist and ageist jokes. You can talk about him without elderly and disabled people catching strays.” Another said: “All the people in the comments joking about this - i dont find it funny at all. I’m no Mitch McConnell girlie in the slightest but he’s had some serious health issues… Lets not joke about people’s health and scary situations like this.” It’s not the first time health concerns have been raised about McConnell. In March, the 81-year-old suffered a fall at a Washington DC hotel and was hospitalised due to concussion and a minor rib fracture. After undergoing rehab, he returned to Congress in April. The 'You're My Bird' sculpture from viral TikTok trend explained
The 'You're My Bird' sculpture from viral TikTok trend explained
There is always a new trend circulating on TikTok, and the most recent one making rounds involves people writing "You're my bird." As part of the trend, users are posting photos of themselves with a friend, partner, family member or loved one along with the writing "you're my bird," as part of a slideshow. Emotional music also plays in the background, as people swipe to the second image that reads: "You're what?" Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter For the third and final image in the slideshow, there is a photo of a male sculpture saying “I can’t do this anymore” while a bird replied: “Yes you can.” The bronze sculpture itself is a small metal bird that is flying and lifting a man off the floor using its two feet to lift him up from his shirt. So when people say a loved one is "their bird," it means when you're feeling down they are someone who helps you to get back up on your feet. @ayeesidh I love this trend❤️ i rmr when i had my baby & was going through some of the darkest days during post partum all i wanted was to just curl up in my moms lap and let out all my emotions. Thankful for her ❤️❤️❤️ | #fyp #foryoupage #foryou #lovingmom #iloveyoumom Oslo-based Norweigan artist Fredrik Raddum is the artist behind the sculpture which is from a 2017 collection called ‘Hacienda Paradise – Utopia Experiment’ displayed at art gallery Galleri Brandstrup. The sculptures are based on a true story from the 1930s where a group of Europeans left their homes to live on the Galápagos Islands, with the move being described as "The Galápagos Affair," according to My Modern Met. During this time there were unsolved disappearances on the Galapagos island of Floreana and a documentary was made on the subject back in 2013 titled: "The Galapagos Affair: Satan Came to Eden." Experts are warning against dangerous ‘Barbie Feet’ trend
Experts are warning against dangerous ‘Barbie Feet’ trend
Experts are warning against the Barbie Feet TikTok trend and social media users attempt to recreate an iconic shot from the movie. Greta Gerwig’s Barbie film has smashed box offices since it was released on Friday 21 July, having the biggest debut in 2023 so far. For months, the fans’ anticipation has taken over social media and it shows no sign of slowing following the film's release. But, experts are warning against a “dangerous” recreation of a scene from the film that's been dubbed the Barbie Feet challenge. What is the Barbie Feet challenge? The challenge takes direct inspiration from the film and a particular scene that was included in the official teaser. It showed the film’s lead actor Margot Robbie stepping out of a pair of high heels. Her foot stayed in the same position, with the high arch that Barbie dolls are known to have. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Barbie - Main Trailer - Warner Bros. UK & Ireland www.youtube.com On TikTok, users have been doing their own attempts at the challenge, with the hashtag #BarbieFeet racking up almost 51 million views. @sophiawebster Hey Barbie ??? this Barbie only wears butterfly shoes ? #butterfly #barbie #heybarbie #hibarbie #barbiemovie #barbiefeet #barbieshoes #barbiedoll #dollshoes #dollfeetchallenge #barbieoutfit But, health experts have warned that the trend has the potential to be dangerous and have advised against doing it too much. Dr. Jodi R. Schoenhaus, DPM, RPhs, FACFAS, and a board-certified podiatrist at the Foot, Ankle & Leg Vein Center, told the New York Post: “Although the Barbie Arch makes a woman’s legs appear longer and toner, it is not without risk. If someone attempts the pose once or twice, they will likely be ok and produce a great TikTok video.” She continued: “However, if attempting the pose and stride over long periods, there are some risks involved. The ankle is unstable, which can lead to ligament sprains and injuries, commonly seen with high heel use.” @brialynnxoxox Barbie Girl? #barbie #barbiegirl #barbiefeet #barbiefeetchallenge #barbieshoes #pinkheels Schoenhaus also warned that prolonged positioning of the foot in the high arched-position can result in muscle and spine issues by putting strain on the lower back. Speaking about how the footage was filmed, Robbie told The Project that there was no CGI or special effects used. She explained: “There’s no special effects, you’d be amazed how few [special effects] there are in this film actually. We didn‘t do that many takes of it, a couple of takes and I kind of held on to a bar so I was sturdy when I stepped.” “We just put double-sided tape on the floor so that my shoes stayed still and I did have a pedicure that morning.” Have your say in our news democracy. The Alphabet Date Nights trend could save struggling relationships
The Alphabet Date Nights trend could save struggling relationships
If your relationship is feeling stale, “Alphabet Dating” has been hailed as a great way to inject some fun back into quality time. When in a long-term relationship, it can sometimes be difficult to maintain the fun and spontaneity of the earlier years and to fall back on routines. But content creator Stephanie Booe has shared her tip for getting the spark back with what she has called “alphabet dating”. Alphabet dating involves going through the alphabet and picking a date activity that corresponds to that letter. In one video about the dating trick, Booe revealed that on their A-themed date, she and her partner ate appetisers before going axe-throwing. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter She explained: “We went to a new restaurant, ordered a few appetizers instead of entrees and then we went axe throwing for the first time ever! “This was such an easy and simple little way to uproot us from our comfort zone and to do something we wouldn’t normally do.” She also added: “Hear me when I say that this doesn’t have to be big, fancy, or expensive. That’s part of the challenge! You don’t have to go out every week, you can easily find ways to do these themed date nights at home.” One Instagrammer wrote: “I love this idea!” Another said: “I love this idea! Could also easily be turned into a snack + movie-night-in with the coordinating letter if needed.” Booe recommended that partners take turns to plan dates, taking alternate letters in the alphabet. Last year, the theory of alphabet dating went viral on TikTok after users such as Abby Benson-Schwallie shared their list of creative alphabet date ideas. @abbymbenson here are is ur alphabet date list!! ?#alphabetdates #love #couple #fyp #trending #foryoupage On her list, Benson-Schwallie listed ideas such as, “Christmas movie and cider”, “Hot wings and horror” and “Nostalgia”. Landlord’s response to trashed apartment following eviction sparks debate
A landlord has sparked a debate after charging evicted tenants to clean up his trashed apartment. In a video of him dancing around a completely trashed room with rubbish on the floor and substances smeared across the walls, the landlord put text captions reading: "A resident decided to do this after an eviction. "So ima use the most expensive cleaner in Indianapolis and charge them for it and if they don't pay up its their credit not mine. "And they won't be able to get another apartment until their debt with us is paid off. "So who really got the last laugh?" Brits call for Sindy movie to rival Barbie
Brits call for Sindy movie to rival Barbie
The internet has been obsessed with Greta Gerwig’s Barbie for what seems like centuries now – but some people on social media have picked a rival team. Sindy was a British doll manufactured just four years later than her American counterpart. A little less glamorous and, perhaps, more realistic, Sindy still holds a place in the hearts of many in the UK. The toy even marks its 60th anniversary this year, after its original 1963 launch. Now, people are calling for the rivalry to get a reboot – and some even want a Sindy movie. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter One Twitter user said: “There should simultaneously be a slightly less polished and expensive Sindy movie.” Another said: “Despite all the hullabaloo this weekend, I wish to re-pledge my loyalty and devotion to the one true queen, #TeamSindy.” One person referenced the filmmaker Ken Loach, whose work has often focused on social issues prevalent in working class Britain, adding: “Looking forward to the Ken Loach directed film about Sindy.” It comes as Barbie celebrates the biggest opening weekend for a film by a female director, grossing $162m over its first three days. The obsession with the American toy has spread far and wide with people dressing up for the occasion and queueing around the block in many places to get a look at the movie on the opening night. And as Barbie-mania shows few signs of abating, it looks like Sindy has a bit of catching up to do. Have your say in our news democracy.
