An airline has been reportedly fined $15,625 (£12,197) after a worker was sucked into a plane engine and died. The horrific incident took place at an Alabama airport on New Year’s Eve, as per the New York Post. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration ordered the fine against Piedmont Airlines, a regional subsidiary of American Airlines, after suggesting it was a safety breach that led to Courtney Edwards' death. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) confirmed the mother-of-three was "ingested into the engine" as she was "on the ramp at Montgomery Regional Airport where American Airlines Flight 3408, an Embraer E175, was parked." Ahead of the accident, the Montgomery Airport conducted two safety briefings alerting employees to not approach the plane until the engine and beacon light were switched off, according to the NTSB. The pilot was alerted that the front cargo was being opened as he was shutting down the right engine. He then reportedly noted that the "airplane shook violently followed by the immediate automatic shutdown". "Courtney was a Ground Handling agent for Piedmont Airlines, a subsidiary of American Airlines, a loving mother of 3 kids and a wonderful daughter to her beloved mother, Natalie English of Montgomery, Alabama," president of the Communication Workers of America (CWA) and the organiser of the fundraiser wrote. "Please know that this tragedy has and will affect her mother, family, friends, and kids for years to come." American Airlines later released a widely reported statement that read: "We are devastated by the accident involving a team member of Piedmont Airlines, an American Airlines regional carrier, at Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM)." But one TikTok channel dedicated to the pavement-lurking birds has prompted a flutter of interest after it shared a pretty jaw-dropping video. The clip, which is accompanied by suitably jaunty music, shows a staggeringly proportioned pigeon, with a fit-to-busting chest, skinny white legs and giant feathers for claws, apparently. The man behind Pigeons TV posted the footage early last month and it has since racked up more than 18.6 million views and 1.6 million likes. It was one Australian woman's lucky day after she found a "one in a billion" perfectly round egg in her grocery shop. The rare circular egg was bought at Woolworths supermarket and amazed at her discovery she shared a video of it with Melbourne’s 3AW broadcaster Jacqui Felgate. In the Instagram post sharing the clip, Felgate wrote: "From a follower. Not my egg." TikTok account @googlemapsfun posts clips of things they’ve found while exploring the world on Google Maps. Next, they purport to have discovered a 30m long snake skeleton in France that can be seen from satellites. They suggested the skeleton is of an extinct Titanoboa snake and posted an image of the animal. Twitch streamers are leaving the platform in their droves in favour of rival website Kick which is offering far more lucrative financial opportunities to their competitors. Kick, which is owned by online gambler Tyler ‘Trainwreck’ Niknam, who previously made his name on Twitch, is very similar in style and content that you would find on other streaming sites with gaming being a major source of entertainment on the website. However, unlike Twitch, gambling and more adult-themed content are more widely accepted on Kick, which was only launched in January 2023. Last month, two big streaming stars Kai Cenat and iShowSpeed both announced that they would be leaving Twitch to join Rumble, another streaming platform that is popular with political commentators. However, xQc, has confirmed that he'll still use Twitch for his streams. In addition to xQc, Twitch's top female streamer Amouranth has also ditched Twitch for Kick in what is thought to be a non-exclusive deal with the site. In an announcement video where she is reading about xQc's deal with Kick, Amouranth says: "So, 100 million dollar deals have started… Can I get one of those?" Numerous other streamers, including Mizkif, have also spoken out against Twitch, claiming that the streaming site is 'done.' Interestingly, MrBeast, who is more of a YouTube content creator than a streamer has floated the idea of streaming on Kick in a form of protest against Twitch's new guidelines which are likely to put in place major restrictions on branded content come July 1st. In a now-deleted tweet, MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, wrote: "I’m not even a Twitch streamer and now I want to stream on a competitor just to spite them for you guys. If YouTube pulled this sh*t, I’d lose my mind." Other notable steamers who have left Twitch for Kick, include Adin Ross, Destiny, CorinnaKopf and GMHikaru. TikTok trends are often as random as they come and one current obsession on the video app revolves around a rather delicious-looking cinnamon roll. The roll, which contains a heavy serving of cream, was actually created by chef @marleysrose back in May 2022 but has since gone viral again and the recipe has now been viewed more than one million times. When it comes to water parks, it's always a good time sliding down the plastic tubes at speed and feeling like a child once more - however, sometimes things didn't go exactly to plan. Most would expect a slide to get you from A to B pretty quickly, given that the water helps us to whizz down to the end. He can then be seen with an alarmed look on his face as he attempted to crawl in the tight space to get further down the slide to the exit and can also be heard shouting for help. It's been a long time coming but Cristiano Ronaldo has finally met streamer iShowSpeed. Or should that be the other way around... For those that haven't been following this long-running saga, iShowSpeed is one of the top steamers in the world with more than 16 million followers on YouTube alone and is obsessed with Ronaldo. The American online personality has attempted to meet the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus striker on numerous occasions in the past but ultimately failed on every occasion. However, the stars aligned for the 18-year-old on Saturday when he flew to Portugal to see the iconic footballer in action for his country in the nation's 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon. As part of his stream at the match, Speed was told that he could potentially meet Ronaldo if he went down to the car park as the players were leaving the stadium. There is always a new quiz that is taking over TikTok and the latest one is the "Multidimensional Anger Test," which can apparently “map your experience of anger along multiple empirical dimensions". The test itself is from the IDR Labs website and says the quiz draws from the work of Dr Judith M. Siege and tests people's susceptibility to anger. “Analyses of Siegel’s work have found the test to have good psychometric properties in the form of high validity and test-retest reliability," the website reads. A woman has found herself receiving widespread attention online and has been dubbed the "Home Depot girl." Ariana Josephine has gone viral after posting selfies on Twitter of herself in her Home Depot uniform (hence the nickname) as everyone has been complementing her appearance across social media including TikTok. It all began when the 21-year-old shared bathroom selfies of herself as she sported her workwear from the American DIY store which includes an orange apron. In a follow-up post, two days later she shared another bathroom selfie in her uniform, this time with her hair down instead of tied back and Ariana wrote: "Home Depot Girl Taking Over 2.0" Similarly, this too also did numbers with it receiving 7.8m views and 77,000 likes. People have been paying Ariana endless compliments about her beauty in response to her selfies. One person said: "All the baddies are working at Home Depot." "Omggggg drop the skincare routine please," another person wrote. Someone else joked: "I suddenly find the urge to paint me and my neighbour's house." "What Home Depot is this??!!!
