Taylor Swift performs 'Bad Blood' as part of her Eras Tour set, and clearly had actual bad blood with a security guard at one of her shows who she told off in defence of one her fans. The said-fan has since made a TikTok to share her perspective on what happened. In a number of viral videos that are circulating around TikTok, the popstar was performing the '1989' track during her show at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia where she gave the telling off mid-performance. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter As she sang to the audience on one side of the stage, the 33-year-old began to look concerned as she told a security guard: "She's fine!" before going into the chorus. But clearly, Swift was unhappy with whatever was going on as she stopped singing and shouted: "She wasn't doing anything!" Swift then begins to sing again and was about to walk away but instead still wasn't satisfied with the situation as she walked forward again, stopped singing and yelled "Hey!" In one viral video (9.6m views) by Briana Layfield (@brilayfield) who captured the interaction she wrote in the caption: "Hey @Taylor Swift THANK YOU from all of us on the floor for yelling at that security guard. He was a pain in the a** the entire night and the fact that this happened during #badblood made it even better." @brilayfield hey @Taylor Swift THANK YOU from all of us on the floor for yelling at that security guard. he was a pain in the ass the entire night and the fact that this happened during #badblood made it even better ? Kelly Inglis (@kellyingliskelly28) in a video posted on her friend Caitlin Gabell's account (@caityg33caityg33) summarised what happened, which now has over 6.2m views. "And Taylor noticed that I was having fun and that he didn't like it and she didn't like it [referring to her shouting at the security guard] and then he basically got escorted out and then they offered us free tickets for tonight! Grimes reveals that she accidentally showed Elon Musk's kids an R-Rated movie
Grimes has revealed that she once accidentally showed her young children Uncut Gems, not realising that it was an R-Rated movie. The singer, real name Claire Elise Boucher, has two children with Elon Musk. Appearing on Julia Fox and Niki Takesh’s podcast, Forbidden Fruits, Grimes said that she had no idea Fox’s film Uncut Gems was not at all suitable for young families. “I have such a funny story where I was with my kids’ grandma," she said on the podcast. "And I had no context. My dad was just like, ‘Uncut Gems is a really good movie.’ And yeah, I caused quite a bit of havoc and accidentally showed a bunch of like 12-year-olds Uncut Gems.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter The thriller from Josh and Benny Safdie focuses on Adam Sandler’s character Howard Ratner, who is a jeweler addicted to gambling. Over the course of the film, he attempts to retrieve a valuable black opal while managing relationships with his family and his mistress, played by Fox. Grimes told Fox: “I just want to say you did an amazing job.” She also said that “grandma” was there too. Fox added: “Yeah, they definitely were horrified.” “Not because they hated it, but I think it was the incorrect social group,” Grimes said. Grimes and Twitter CEO Elon Musk share a son named X AE A-XII and a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl. Apparently, they had another option for their daughter’s name, however, the government “won’t recognize” the name they wanted for her - a question mark. So they’ve decided to just nickname her “Y.” Y was (semi) introduced to the world last year when Grimes accidentally revealed she had a second child with Musk via surrogate to Vanity Fair. Janelle Monáe's 'sudden extreme behaviour change' sparks debate among fans
Singer Janelle Monáe has sparked debate following their dramatic and unexpected NSFW-style shake-up in a new clip. In February this year, Monáe, who uses they/them pronouns, released a new single Float ahead of an announcement about their new album, The Age of Pleasure due for release on 9 June. Now, the second single released from that album, titled 'Lipstick Lover', has got fans talking about their style evolution from suited sci-fi/fantasy to their new sexy era. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Monáe shared a teaser clip of the NSFW video that clearly shows a more sensual style from the 37-year-old as they can be seen emerging from a pool wearing a translucent skin-tight t-shirt with the word “Pleasure” written across the front. Through the wet t-shirt, the performer's bare breasts could be seen, meanwhile, other clips showed that Monáe is exploring a more sexually liberal style with snippets of their face next to a woman’s bare bum. Meanwhile, another video has emerged online of Monae exposing their breasts while performing live. The rebrand has sparked debate among Monáe’s fans, with some loving the evolution and others disagreeing. One person wrote: “The Janelle Monae showing more skin vs suits is a transition that was coming. The suits paid homage. They represented the foundation of her career. It’s natural to change.” Another argued: “Rebrand of the century, I need more women to change their lives for better just like Janelle Monae.” Someone else questioned: “Did they clone Janelle Monae? Cuz the sudden behavior change is extreme to me lol.” “I need a Janelle Monae interview cause I need to know what sparked the change,” another tweet read. Have your say in our news democracy. Ryan Reynolds appears to troll pal Taylor Swift over Matty Healy dating rumours
Ryan Reynolds appeared to troll celebrity pal Taylor Swift over recent rumours that she's dating The 1975's Matty Healy. In a post to his Instagram Stories, the 'Deadpool' actor shared a selfie of himself and chose to include The 1975’s hit song "Chocolate," for the music. There was also a caption: "Zoom Zoom," that appeared on Reynolds's forehead, in what can only be described as a random post with no context whatsoever. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter While Swift herself wasn't not mentioned in the Insta story, it hasn't stopped fans from questioning the song choice, given recent reports that Swift and Healy were spotted together, with The 1975 frontman also in attendance at the popstar's Nashville Eras Tour shows. It comes after The Sun first reported a "source close to Taylor" alleged Swift and Healy are "madly in love," and that it's "super-early days, but it feels right." With this recent post by Reynolds, fans don't quite know what to make of it all. Reynolds often takes to social media to troll his actor wife Blake Lively and his showbiz mates such as Rob McElhenney, and Hugh Jackman, so it could be another instance of this. While he and Lively are good friends with Swift, as back in 2016 the couple spent the Fourth of July with the 'Anti-Hero' singer and her then-boyfriend Tom Hiddleston. A voice recording of the couple's eldest daughter, James features on Swift's 2017 song 'Gorgeous,' while their third daughter's name is also a track ('Betty') on the singer's album Folklore where James and their second daughter Inez are also mentioned in the lyrics of the song. "I named all the characters in this story after my friends' kids... and I hope you like it!" Swift said on country radio in 2020. When Swift won Album of the Year award for 'Folklore' at the 2021 Grammy's, she thanked "James, Inez and Betty and their parents who are the second people that I play every new song that I write." MrBeast responds to being 'cancelled' over accusation that 'makes no sense'
YouTuber MrBeast has responded to the backlash after reports that he has bought almost all the houses on one street for his staff and family to live in. Earlier this month, it was reported that MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, had purchased multiple homes on one street in a cul de sac in North Carolina, close to where he grew up. In response to the news, MrBeast has been on the receiving end of some backlash as some accuse him of being a “culty”. One person tweeted, “That sounds very culty lol”. Someone else argued, “The next Jonestown will happen here”. Another pointed out: “Imagine losing your job and your house on the same day. That’s what company towns are. Your employer owns every aspect of your life.” “What a nice man, surely a CEO buying homes and creating neighborhoods for their employee's families has no historical relevance or background at all,” someone else said. Stause was previously married to 'This Is Us' star Justin Hartley from 2017 to 2021, and also dated her former boss Selling Sunset co-star Jason Oppenheim. The real estate agent left a congratulatory message on Stause's Instagram announcement: "I am SO excited for this!! Elliot Page poses topless revealing he never thought he 'could experience this'
Elliot Page has expressed the joy he feels after his transition in a new Instagram photo where he posed for a shirtless selfie as he soaked up the sun. The 'Umbrella Academy' actor got candid in the post to their 5.9m followers about the dysphoria he used to experience during the hot summer weather. He also shared how he used cover up with an oversized t-shirt. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter "Dysphoria used to be especially rife in the summer. No layers, just a T-shirt - or layers and oh so sweaty - constantly looking down, readjusting my oversized T," Page wrote. But that has since changed, as their latest photo shows him embracing the shirtless look, while sporting a baseball cap and chain. "It feels so f’ing good soaking in the sun now, I never thought I could experience this, the joy I feel in my body," the actor added. Taylor Swift fans turn mysterious memoir into a best sell but there's a problem
Taylor Swift fans are known for their sleuthing skills to uncover many of the singer's Easter eggs - and recently some believed a book release was on the horizon. But alas, it has been confirmed by Variety that Swift is not the author behind the book by Macmillan imprint Flatiron that everyone's talking about. "Variety can report for certain that this mystery author is not, as rumored, Taylor Swift," the publication said. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter "She is not gearing up to release a memoir almost simultaneously with her next album and smack in the middle of a national stadium tour, which might count as an excessive exercise in synergy even for someone as capable of project-multitasking as a Taylor Swift." Rumours started when there was news of a celebrity releasing a memoir in July, with the identity of the star being kept under wraps and it didn't take long for Swifties to theorise that the mystery author was Swift. From book store speculation, to a lack of book promotion, as well as the July 9 release date, and the book being 544 pages long (5+4+4=13 Swift's lucky number), fans went down the rabbit of hole of looking for evidence or Easter eggs that pointed to this theory. So Swifties were keen to be the first to get their hands on the $45 book that's currently called "4C Untitled Flatiron Nonfiction Summer 2023" and pre-ordered copies in advance despite the lack of official details. As a result, the book has climbed up the top 10 of the Amazon book sales chart, rising as high as No. 2 (it's currently No. 22 at the time of writing). Currently, it is also sitting at No. 4. on the Barnes & Noble website, and No.2 on the booksellers' pre-orders chart. But even if we still don't know who the author is, what can we expect from this mysterious book? A screenshot which some believe may have been a pitch for the book on digital publishing catalog Edelweiss read: “This is not a political book, it is a fun, celebratory title and will skew slightly younger, but is for people of all ages. “This has global appeal and will have massive publicity. I would comp this to Flatiron’s Matthew Perry memoir... and a little bit to Spare by Prince Harry," as per Variety. Have your say in our news democracy. Tom Cruise and Shakira dating rumours are jokingly being compared to football transfer news
There could be a new celebrity power couple in Hollywood, after reports emerged that Tom Cruise and Shakira are dating. However, some of the language used on social media has raised a few eyebrows – with some suggesting the speculation reads more like transfer rumours than your standard showbiz fare. It comes after reports surfaced that Cruise was “extremely interested in pursuing” the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer after the two were photographed together at the 2023 Formula One Grand Prix in Miami over the weekend. “He is extremely interested in pursuing her. There is chemistry,” a source told Page Six on 9 May. “Shakira needs a soft pillow to fall on, and that could be Tom,” they added, referencing the singer’s split from Gerard Pique. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Football journalist Nooruddean Choudry joked about some of the coverage, and questioned whether the headline had been written by transfer story specialist Fabrizio Romano. The post included a screenshot of a headline that read: “Tom Cruise is ‘extremely interested in pursuing Shakira.” Others replied with football transfer cliches of their own, with one writing: “Cruise eyes Shakira swoop.” “He’s monitoring the situation closely,” another said. “3 year contract, plus the option for one more year! Shakira is ‘excited about the Tom Cruise project’” another joked. One more social media user wrote: “Won’t believe it till she’s holding the shirt.” It comes after Cruise was up in the skies for his coronation concert cameo recently, which looked awfully similar to his MTV Movie & TV award acceptance speech. While airborne and flying his Top Gun Warbird plane, the 60-year-old 'Top Gun' actor invited King Charles III to be his "wingman," in his pre-recorded video message for the new monarch. “Pilot to pilot. Your Majesty, you can be my wingman any time," Cruise said before he saluted and flew off. Have your say in our news democracy.
