Rapper Kevin Gates shocks fans with graphic Instagram story
Rapper Kevin Gates has shocked the internet after posting an extremely graphic childbirth video on his Instagram Stories. On Sunday, May 8th, the 37-year-old '2 Phones' singer shared a video of a seemingly random woman giving birth from a standing position. Gates captioned the video with: "The most beautiful thing on earth is the gift of life [folded hands emoji] [heart hands emoji]." Fans of the star immediately thought that it was Gates's wife Dreka Haynes, who he has two children with, in the video except it wasn't. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter According to Pink Villa, the video was shared in April and features a woman named Kendra who was giving birth. The caption for the video states: "In celebration of black maternal health week, Kendra is sharing her birth video and she offers this wisdom from this amazing birth experience." However, despite it not being Gates's other half people were still shocked to see such graphic content on Instagram and urged others not to go and look at it, which they naturally did. Twitch star Kai Cenat also looked at the story while on a live stream, as did rapper Kendrick Lamar who liked a meme about the poster on Twitter. Back in 2013, Gates expressed how much he loves his own children but was keen to shield them from the public. He told Complex: "I lay in the bed with them [my children], hold them, love on them. It really doesn't make sense to say [how many kids I have]. Not in a bad way, but it’s not like the public will ever get to see my children, and if they do see them, they aren't going to know they’re mine. Later on, maybe, I get to the point where I share it with the world." Have your say in our news democracy. Tom Cruise's message for the King and the MTV awards were virtually identical
Tom Cruise was up in the skies for his coronation concert cameo, which looked awfully similar to his MTV Movie & TV award acceptance speech. While airborne and flying his Top Gun Warbird plane, the 60-year-old 'Top Gun' actor invited King Charles III to be his "wingman," in his pre-recorded video message for the new monarch. “Pilot to pilot. Your Majesty, you can be my wingman any time," Cruise said before he saluted and flew off. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter His message to King Charles was part of a number of star-studded video messages for the Coronation Concert, who included: Joan Collins, former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan, Bear Grylls and Welsh singer Tom Jones. It looked remarkably similar to a video acceptance speech Cruise gave from the cockpit for the MTV Movie & TV Awards, where the actor sported the same cream-blue shirt, aviator sunglasses, green headphones and a headset. Though in this message there was the addition of a golden popcorn trophy as Cruise took home the best performance in a movie for his role in 'Top Gun: Maverick'. "Hi everyone. Thank you so much for this award. I make these sails for you. I love you. I love entertaining you," he said. "You know how much you enjoy it. How much you appreciate it. There's just no better feeling and I hope you enjoy 'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One.' Cruise added the film will be released in July and that it's a "wild ride," and signed off by saying "We'll see you at the movies" before tilting off and flying for the clouds. Chris Tyson says that MrBeast has supported their gender for years
Chris Tyson has spoken openly about their friendship with MrBeast, saying that the YouTuber has supported their gender since college. Tyson recently made headlines for sharing their journey with hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and has been the subject of transphobic trolling online. The treatment is generally used to help a person's body align with their gender identity. MrBeast recently hit back at social media users who claimed his affiliation with the YouTuber could be detrimental to his career. Tyson has appeared in many of his videos in the past. MrBeast, real name is Jimmy Donaldson, clapped back at these suggestions on social media, writing: "Yeah, this is getting absurd. Chris isn’t my “nightmare” he’s my f***en friend and things are fine. All this transphobia is starting to p*** me off." Sign up to our new free Indy100 weekly newsletter Spoke on GeorgeNotFound’s BANTER podcast, Tyson said that Donaldson had been aware of their gender identity for a long time. “I mean, Jimmy’s known it since we were in college together,” Chris said. “I accidentally walked out of a bedroom — like, my bedroom and his bedroom were apart…obviously not very cis-het-male. And I told him. I told him, I was like, ‘I don’t really know what it is. I don’t know if I’m ever gonna be ready to like, deal with it.'” “And he was like, ‘Oh yeah, you know, I don’t care. Just whenever it becomes a thing, just let me know.’ And then for like, seven years, or however many years, I just didn’t let him know.” In April, Tyson tweeted: "Informed consent HRT saved my and many others' lives. The hurdles gnc people have to jump through to get life-saving gender-affirming healthcare in a 1st world country is wild to me. Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies". Despite the fact that MrBeast has been vocal in supporting Tyson, rumours had previously begun spreading online that Tyson had been dropped from MrBeast’s team after they didn’t appear in his recent video filmed in Japan. Responding to fan questions on a Snapchat stream, Tyson clarified that they had not been removed from the team. Instead, they had asked to spend more time with their two-year-old son Tucker. Asked if the rumours were true, Tyson said: “Nope, I pretty much told Jimmy [MrBeast], just because I want to spend time with Tucker, and he’s traveling a lot, I’m just going to come and go as I please.” Have your say in our news democracy. Bhad Bhabie has hit out at "creepy" men who were subscribed to her OnlyFans account when she was 18. The rapper, real name Danielle Bregoli, became a viral hit after appearing on Dr Phil and birthing the famous catchphrase: "Cash me outside, how ’bout that?" During a recent appearance on Emily Ratajkowski's High Low podcast, the rapper candidly spoke about signing up to OnlyFans at a young age and becoming one of the platform's top earners. She said: "It doesn’t go like that for everybody. I’ve had people come up to me and say, 'I’m just going to do it like you do it'. And I’m like, 'Ahhh no'.” "It’s situational," she added. Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Bregoli then touched on how it felt knowing adults were subscribed to her account when she was 18. "I was kept covered up for so long, right, with how they were making me dress and s**t," she told EmRata. "And I was young. It’s creepy but at the same time…18 is 18. "That’s what they said it was, so that’s what they said it was." She continued: "Do I think it’s a billion per cent OK? No. But at the same time, it’s like, if they ain’t going to find it here, they’ll find it somewhere." EmRata asked Bregoli how her mum felt about her joining the adult website, to which she responded she "doesn't care". "That lady love money. She don’t care where it comes from," she joked. Bregoli's estimated earnings for 2021 are said to be around £42 million ($51 million). Forbes suggested that the majority comes from OnlyFans, raking in over £823,000 ($1 million) in her first six hours. Have your say in our news democracy. Meghan Markle's latest career move has people thinking she's joined WWE
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has got people doing a double take with her latest career move, with many mistakenly thinking she has joined WWE. In a report from Variety, Meghan has signed up for representation with the Hollywood talent agency WME, in what will be seen as a lucrative acquisition for the company, which already boasts clients such as Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and tennis great Serena Williams. Meghan's team at WME will include Endeavor CEO Ari Emmanuel as well as top agents Jill Smoller and Brad Slater. While she does have experience as an actor a return to that field is not thought to be on the agenda. Film and television and brand partnerships are more likely to be explored. Sign up to our new free Indy100 weekly newsletter While this is obviously intriguing news from a Meghan and Harry perspective, the news has sideswiped a few people who have mistakenly read WME as 'WWE' aka World Wrestling Entertainment leading to some very puzzled reactions. Just for the record, Meghan Markle has not signed with WWE although we do think she'd have great promo skills and would love to see her work a program with Dominik Mysterio. You never know, maybe her new colleague The Rock could give her some tips. Have your say in our news democracy. Hasbulla arrested in Russia for 'unbridled wedding fun'
Social media personality Hasbulla Magomedov has been arrested in Russia for driving offences committed after a wedding celebration. 20-year-old Hasbulla is from Russia and was arrested in his native Dagestan, a Republic of Russia, in an incident involving a group of his friends celebrating a wedding. According to reports, Hasbulla and friends blocked a main road in order to do doughnuts. Since his arrest, Hasbulla apologised for the incident on social media and confirmed it wasn’t him driving. He tweeted: “That won't happen again, people we apologise. We had to answer for it a little bit. I wasn't driving either.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter According to Dagestan’s Internal Affairs Ministry, the act of blocking a road to burn rubber is a common form of celebration after a wedding and added that wedding emotions got the better of those arrested. The statement read: “Unbridled wedding fun in Dagestan is known to many and far beyond the borders of the republic.” It continued: “In the absence of other ways of entertainment, such a primitive option is still extremely popular - blocking roads for other road users, burning rubber, smashing cars against each other and many other features that, in fact, have nothing to do with the celebration.” Footage of the incident was shared online and showed the social media star in a car blocking the road, while another vehicle from his party did donuts in the road in front. The statement from Dagestan’s Internal Affairs Ministry continued, explaining: “All participants of 'wedding emotions', as they themselves call it, were taken to the police, and in relation to them, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan drew up administrative protocols for all violations.” It’s not the first time in recent months that Hasbulla’s actions have caused a stir. A few months ago the star came under fire after a clip appeared to show him abusing a cat. Have your say in our news democracy. People are obsessing over the man with the mullet and moustache at the coronation
Eagle-eyed social media spectators of King Charles III's coronation couldn't take their eyes off one guest, leaving them wondering who it was. The grey-haired man was sporting a mullet and moustache while sitting alongside Andrew Lloyd Webber. His look was completed with a pair of tinted sunglasses. Almost immediately, viewers turned to Twitter, asking who the mysterious "cool" man was, with one joking: "Meghan, you’re not fooling us…" Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Sadly it wasn't her as earlier this month, the palace said in a statement: "Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet." The man is, of course, Sir Karl Jenkins, composer and instrumentalist. The 79-year-old composed a piece for Charles' coronation titled 'Tros y Garreg', translating to 'Crossing the Stone'. "I am very honoured. It obviously sums up Welsh culture - the harp - and he [the King] has always supported Welsh music," he told the BBC ahead of the event. "I don't know whether he chose it, but he was happy to have it there. I know he likes it otherwise he wouldn't have asked me." He spoke about the late Queen's 1953 coronation, saying: "We had one of the first TV screens in the street, in the village I guess...12in (30cm) screen, two rows of friends and neighbours watching." He added: "I am very honoured. It obviously sums up Welsh culture - the harp - and he [the King] has always supported Welsh music," said Sir Karl. Have your say in our news democracy.
