Gary Lineker has come out swinging for Elon Musk over his management of Twitter. In an interview with the Guardian, the sports pundit said the tech mogul was bad at running the social media platform, and called him "rubbish". He said: "As for Elon Musk, I think perhaps the most interesting thing for me is that, for someone that’s spent so much money on Twitter, he is actually not very good on Twitter. He’s rubbish. I think that’s quite amusing.” Musk bought the platform last year and since doing so has been criticised for making a number of unpopular changes like making people pay for their blue ticks and renaming Twitter 'X' recently. I’m not just talking about it in terms of political bias, I’m talking about the quality of the television that’s rubbish.” He also said the BBC should stop trying to placate its political opponents and said bosses spend too much time worrying about the views of people “who will hate you forever”. The streamer and social media influencer Kai Cenat is at the centre of mayhem that erupted in New York City's Union Square on Friday after he announced that he would be giving away Playstation 5 consoles. Cenat and fellow streamer Fanum had teased the giveaway to their millions of followers on Instagram, that it was scheduled to take place at 4pm. However, a mass crowd, estimated to be around 2000 people arrived on the scene leading to unsavoury scenes which resulted in the injuries of a reported 12 people. Fighting and the throwing of fire extinguishers were also reported with two people being arrested. Some revelers also climbed on the roof of Union Square station. On a live stream at the event, Cenat could be heard saying: "Look at this! hey standing like in f*****g unity, bro." Cenat had also teased that items such as gaming PCs, gift cards and gaming Chairs would be given away at the event. Amid the chaos it has been reported that Cenat was placed into law enforcement custody as confirmed by the New York Police Department. He is said to have a net worth of around $12 million. In May he was named as one of Rolling Stone magazine's most influential people on social media. In the prior month he was temporarily banned from Twitch for reportedly violating the platform's rules. A wholesome video of Dwayne Johnson buying a UFC fighter a house has gone viral online and has left people in tears. The clip shared to Johnson's Instagram shows the actor surprising a man he has never met with the ultimate gift. Themba T L Gorimbo (@thembagorimbo_mma) recently won his first fight with $7 (£5) in his bank account. He was also said to be sleeping on the couch in the gym he trains at. In the caption, Johnson explained: "After the fight, he sold his fight gear (trunks & gloves) online and made $7,000. Instead of using the money to find a place to live, he built a bush pump so his village back in Zimbabwe can have clean water." The footage shows Johnson sneaking up on Gorimbo in the Miami gym, who gets emotional when he realises the surprise. For those unaware, it all started when former employees of the star came forward with allegations of sexual harassment, and creating a hostile work environment through racial and religious harassment. In an appearance on NBC News, Arianna Davis and Crystal Williams, two of Lizzo's former dancers, claimed Lizzo gave "thinly veiled" comments on their appearance and that it wasn't "an isolated experience." Lizzo has since taken to Instagram to pour water on the allegations, calling them "sensationalised". The statement said her ex-employees "already publicly admitted that they were told their behaviour on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional." "Sometimes I have to make hard decisions but it's never my intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable or like they aren't valued as an important part of the team," the star added. She went on to say she "would absolutely never criticise or terminate an employee because of their weight."
